We're having a relaxing morning here, it's still cold and wet, so no outside fun today. It's been like this all week so I'm anxious for it to warm up so we can get some walks in and get to the park.
We have a family friend coming over to take some photos of DD2 and a couple family photos. She's not a professional but she has a nice camera and likes taking pictures so it works. We'll probably do professional photos next summer.

I told the big girls we'd pick strawberries today...I'd really rather just stay in my sweatpants and slowly fold the 6 loads of laundry between nursing sessions.....but they have been good so I will find the energy to get ready soon

sleepymonkey and cmb we had a blocked tear duct too! We did a combo of warm washcloth, massages and a little breast milk and it cleared up in a few days. Our doc gave us a script for a drop, as he said it may come back. I was freaked out but doctor google helped. Do you know the name of the drop? I'd like to ask our pedi about it at our 1 month app. His isn't clearing and is pretty bad some days

Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk I don't want to bombard with unsolicited advice... let me know if you're hunting for input and I can share though. Getting a consult with an IBCLC can be super helpful, a lot of them will come to your house and help with feeding.

setsuna17, visitors are hard enough to deal with without someone else inviting them over - how annoying. Sorry you're having nursing troubles, it's disappointing when things don't go as planned. Hope you're able to find something that works for your family! chknma, I forgot how much laundry there is with a newborn... I'm doing at least 1 load each day to keep up, lol.

Happy Graduation day rosesquared !! And @cubbiebead325, I have those exact feelings. Next Tuesday is my CSection and I feel like I need to really squeeze in the quality time with DS before baby arrives. Today I took DS to Touch a Truck. It was OK. The one in our town that they usually have each July is way better but DS still enjoyed himself. We went out for slush before coming home ... mainly because I love slush lol. MH is painting the living room which is great but pissing me off simultaneously. We talked about painting about 6 months ago and I chose a color right away. We also agreed to hire someone to do it. That was MHs job to contact and schedule our friend who does all our painting. He waited too long and now our friend is booked solid. So now MH is painting which means it's during the weekend when we're home as opposed to during the week when DS is at daycare and I'm at work. The smell is giving me a headache. And DS is banned from the main living room. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

setsuna17 big hugs. Tell your mom to knock it off. Dont worry about hard feelings. As far as breastfeeding goes, just know that this doesn't have to be the end if you don't want it to be. You can get back to it. Like pp said getting advice from an LC is a great start. And if you want to be done, that's okay too. But I've always heard you shouldn't give up on a bad day, so at least wait a bit before you decide completely.

setsuna17 just cause peeps come to visit doesn't mean you have to b available. Let your mom entertained them. You didn't invite them over. Not your issue.

cubbiebear325 ugh I'm sorry that you are sick. I was already terrified of coughing or sneezing after CS even before having any symptoms so now I'm extra worried. Then I had a bit of a meltdown telling H that they'll take the baby away if I'm sick. I'm being totally irrational, right? 😠Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Oops, also posted in other thread even though I knew this one existed. Such is my brain. SomersIsles that sounds like something H would do, and I'd also be annoyed. Aw, piratecat, I hope you feel better. I promise they'll still give you the baby setsuna17, I agree with lildiamondeyes. Though I am also the one who hid in our room for 80% of the time FIL was here in the fall, so I may be biased.
