Plans for the long weekend?
I am taking off work a couple of hours early. Really wanted to do date night with DH some time this weekend, but haven't been able to get a babysitter. We'll see.

I hope you find a babysitter sweetieheartH is off Saturday so we plan to spend the day out. And then Sunday I will probably spend with my parents I'm hoping the weather is nice! |

Happy long weekend everyone! Hope you find a babysitter sweetieheart. Annoyed with DH. We took off work today to take DD to the zoo. We got into an argument this morning because he wanted to go to McDonalds for breakfast. I told him no problem I'll just take my breakfast that I made with me (on a whole 30 diet). He got mad and said that we'd look like a bunch of rednecks if I brought my food in with me. Wtf. Thanks for being supportive dude. So I'm eating my food in the car so I don't embarrass him + he's getting the silent treatment. Cool way to start the weekend. |

littleredfish, I might be you. I'm going to H's cousin's high school graduation, but H has to work so he's staying home. Thankfully my MIL is fan-freaking-tastic and I've already given her the heads up that I'll need help especially with the toddler. I have the only grandkids and we are a plane trip away, so I should be good on that front! She's pretty amazing with my kiddo and I honestly take parenting notes from her, as well as her totally respecting our goals. Now, my SIL is a different story. I'm kinda hoping she changed her mind about coming and is keeping her entitled ass home.

Heeeey!! Picking C up from daycare around noon and going to lunch and the zoo. Tomorrow C has soccerin the morning and then we're heading to my parents', coming home Sunday night at bedtime. The weather is supposed to be crappy Sunday so that sucks. Hopefully do some yard work on Monday. Should be a great week d, I just wish the weather would cooperate.

Happy long weekend, ladies!
We don't have any big, fancy plans. I honestly plan on taking at least half a day to get caught up on work, as my new job has been riding me like Sea Biscuit.
But I'd like to do some work in the garden. Do some grocery shopping. Possibly some cleaning. And snuggle with DH and E. Those are my grand plans. If we happen to have sex, I wouldn't be sad about it.
Today, however, I'm going to do more work. MIL will watch the baby from about 12-4, which is SO nice. And I am jonesing for a LARGE coffee.
I'm full of excitement, I know.

pivot - YH gets a huge eyeroll from me. WTF, dude. sweetieheart - FX you find a babysitter! I actually played hooky yesterday so I could spend the day with MH and C. It was really nice. C took a nice long nap, MH and I had some afternoon fun, and J was a peach all evening. Granted, C was a bear last night, but whatever. Who needs sleep?! It's gotta be the 4 month regression... I'm already over today and ready to go home. Cleaning up messes from ML sucks. At least I got the all-clear to leave whenever I want, so I'm thinking about 1 p.m. sounds good! Tomorrow we're going to my parents' house. They live on the water near a private community beach. It's nice to go visit and let J run off some energy. The rest of the weekend we have big plans - Home Depot, yard work, laundry, and maybe grilling. I am SO exciting, ya'll!

pivot since when do you need to impress people at McDonald's?? Who would be watching you anyway? What if you had a food allergy and had to bring your own food? Hopefully your weekend improves. Sounds like Mr. Pivot is being ridic.

They fought their bassinet so hard but once I relented and put them on their twin pillow, it was lights out in 45 seconds. I'm hoping to finish sorting clothes and mop the floor between now and...well, 33 minutes from now. We don't have any plans this weekend but may head into the city tomorrow if the weather is nice. Hopefully DH will be home early today as well. We are so boring. |

S got off the waitlist at my top daycare, so I signed the contract starting in September. But now I'm having some remorse because although this center is a little better, it's a lot less flexible. If I chose to SAH or if my in laws manage to get a visa to come babysit, I would be out of a month's tuition to cancel the contract. Also, it doesn't open before 8am, giving us no flexibility in the morning. And it's closed on all the minor holidays plus many days of staff development. I'm just not sure if it's worth it. I can get out of it before mid-July, only losing the deposit. I've been driving myself crazy trying to decide what to do. Ugh. Not how I wanted to spend the last days of ML.

I am spending the weekend preparing for going back to work. I'm going to meal plan for the week ahead, go grocery shopping, and get ahead on laundry and cleaning. Since I'll be using my lunch break to nurse S at daycare, I won't have time to go out to buy lunch, so I need to make sure I have food ready every day. I'm going to buy more Tupperware and possibly a rice cooker to prepare. I also need to buy a few tops for work that accommodate my new boobs. At this point I'm stressing and just want the transition to be over.

notagoddess - IME you have to do what works NOW in regards to DC. You can't rely on your ILs getting a visa to babysit. You obviously aren't as comfortable with the other DC as you are with this one. The flexibility will be tough, but between you and YH, you'll figure out what days to take off or WFH when DC is closed. It's tough, but go with what works for you now. {{Hugs}} DC woes are real. It looks like A Place to Meet is really gearing up. I've been reading up on it today, and I feel pretty good about the admin (I LOVE Enchanted!) and they're taking votes/suggestions for mods. God, I'd love to move to ONE forum. Right now I'm here, TCF, and FB. Too. Much. Work.

Hello! I haven't been around much the last few days. The weather had been better so we've been spending more time outside (airing out the baby and such). I've also been trying to be on my phone less.
My mom offered for DD to spend the night at her place this weekend and I'm thinking of pushing my luck and asking her to babysit DS as well LOL

I'm working ALL weekend which sucks all but for holiday pay on Sunday night...I am trying a new gym and personal trainer tomorrow. I won a 3 month membership so I am excited to try something new. I need to mix it up since my workouts have become a little monotonous.
