irish14 , FX that she can get out of the NICU! DS has become really gassy the past few days with periods of obvious discomfort. I'm starting to wonder if we need to switch his formula to a gentle one. I tried gas drops and they don't do much. We have to do gentlease + gas drops every bottle + gripe water for any hope of getting all the gas/burps out. We had to do the same with DS1 We had to do gas drops with every bottle and Gerber Good Start Soothe formula for DD to make her not completely miserable. DS has done well with regular formula so I thought we were in the clear up until a few days ago. Now he seems pretty uncomfortable and gassy a lot of the time. He doesn't like Gentlease but I have a sample of Similac Total Comfort that I think I might try.

Yay irish14! Enjoy being home It's been a crazy few days. DD's bilirubin levels went through the roof, so we had to be readmitted to the hospital and start supplementing with formula and pumped milk. We spent one night there and got discharged this morning. She's feeling so much better. We have to use the annoying bili blanket at home till they give us the all clear, hoping that will happen tomorrow. I'm dealing with all the associated mommy guilt, but it's great to be home (and we actually got sleep at the hospital). Hope everyone is doing well! I can't believe all the babies. Did I miss a piratecat update somewhere?

cubbiebear325 I used Miralax plus Colace after both boys to help move things along and make it....less difficult. Hope today's the day, that discomfort sucks.

So we are camping right now... last hurrah as a family of 3 (eek). We're only 40 minutes away so it's kinda no big deal. HOWEVER... we had a nightmare of an evening yesterday. Stupidly I never opened the camper after winter storage to get it prepped for our first trip. It just didn't cross my mind even though I do it every year. It's a hybrid camper so it's a camper you tow but the beds fold out like a popup camper (convenient when your tow vehicle can't lug a huge heavy full size camper). WELL there was a leak and a small hole in one of the bunk's canvas.... SLIGHT water damage .... BUT .... HUNDREDS OF CARPENTER ANTS.... I'm terrified of bugs but luckily ants are the least terrifying... but my blood pressure was most definitely through the roof and thank god my husband took care of most of it. But it was traumatizing. 2-3 hours of cleaning and killing bugs. It was a nightmare. It was so hard to contain them to one area so they wouldn't just scatter throughout the camper. My heart is racing just thinking about it.
So needless to say we slept in the back bunk which was perfectly fine and clean.
Now that it's the next day the ants are 99% gone... I still find one wandering here and there but it seems like we don't need to burn the camper to the ground.
Never again will I go straight from storage to campground.

lupincat I've been doing colace, taking 3/day yesterday and today plus fiber gummies and lots of water. Stopped pain meds yesterday and doing just ibuprofen. May need to look into miralax though!

irish14 You have all my good vibes! I hope you get a good plan set up and the NICU stay is very short. H goes back to work on Monday and I'm starting to feel nervous about being on my own with both boys. DS1 is just so needy and impatiens (shocking for a toddler lol) and DS2 doesn't care for the swing yet so I don't really know how I'm going to tackle this. At least it's holiday so H's day will be short, fingers crossed! Good luck with solo parenting! That sounds tricky but you'll make it through and i'm sure it'll get easier each day! irish14 , FX that she can get out of the NICU! DS has become really gassy the past few days with periods of obvious discomfort. I'm starting to wonder if we need to switch his formula to a gentle one. I tried gas drops and they don't do much. Good luck on resolving the gas problem... we were also in a daily gas drop routine with DS but it's tricky when that doesn't do the trick. Ahhhhhhhhh!!! We get to go home today!!!!!!!! Yay!!!!!!!!!!! We're attempting to run some errands today with both kids. We'll see how far we get before we give up. DD has been "fun" lately. The new has worn off her baby brother and now she's generally annoyed by his existence. Whoever is attending to him is the only person who can make DD happy at any given time. I expected this to happen but it is exhausting at times. How did errands go?? What'd you end up tackling? Also, how old is DD? I definitely lost some/all of my mucous plug so that was exciting!!! I'm also having lots of pressure so we'll see. I'm hoping she waits until Tuesday but I'm skeptical. We're on our way to a friend's 1-year old's birthday party and this friend gets the most freaking delicious cakes so I'm pretty excited for cake! At this point though we're so fashionably late we probably missed singing happy birthday lol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Good luck! We're also hoping we make it to Tuesday as well and each day the lightning crotch escalates lol. And I also get random waves of period cramps and nausau ... so naturally I over-analyze everything. I just want to get to my csection without a hitch. Fingers crossed for you and me! haha Also, fuck breastfeeding contractions. Jesus. Ohhhhhh yeah...... I've heard about these. I didn't get them with DS but I hear they get worse with each pregnancy...

I'm feeling super productive after checking a bunch off my to-do list after we got home from the party but now I'm BEAT!!! My doula keeps saying to relax and take it easy so I'm not exhausted whenever labor starts but I'm not doing a very good job listening lol.

cmb, we're using Tommee Tippee and Avent bottles. I really wanted to use Playtex nursers like DD used but he does not like the nipples on them. SomersIsles, we were able to go to lunch and go to Lowes for some yard stuff before DD got cranky and unpleasant. We went home and H stayed with the kids and I went to Target by myself (it was glorious). DD is almost 3 1/2 and has always been higher maintenance so it is not surprising that she's having issues adjusting to sharing the attention.

sleepymonkey cmb , what gas drops are you using? Violet has had two rough afternoons of fussiness, and I'm willing to try anything to give her some relief. Bicycle legs help a little, but I'd love to get ahead of the issue.
