I'm pumping with J as my pumping buddy. He does so well napping or just hanging out on his back in the cosleeper during the day but nighttime J is a whole different baby.
A friend is stopping by to bring us breakfast and my goal for the day is to shower and do a load of laundry.

Since starting the inclined crib/oatmeal combo, A has been an entirely different baby. He's no longer fighting every feed, screaming at the bottle, or spitting/dribbling it all out, and he's actually sleeping at night. I'm beginning to think that I may keep him

And we lost two more chickens last night. Apparently the safeguards we added to the coop weren't enough.
Any other STMs feeling like they don't know what they're doing as much as they should? I'm staring at my sleeping kid wondering how much he should really be sleeping. I should know this, lol

emmalynn, OMG yes. I feel like I have forgotten everything in the past 3 years since DD was an infant. I question everything. Is he sleeping too much? Is he eating too much? Should I be stimulating him more? And it doesn't help that DS is so different from DD as a newborn. I feel completely inexperienced.

7 hours? I'm jealous. I wonder how I would feel after 7 hours of sleep. I bet amazing!

Hi everyone! Omg the hospital stay has been such a whirlwind and we are now just packing up to leave, DW is making trips to the car and K is asleep on me so I figured I'd try to check in. We're excited about the dog baby intros we have to do when we get home but I'm already like ok she needs to eat in an hour and a half so the clock is ticking. 😂 Hopefully I'll be able to check in more soon once we get into a rhythm and don't have a million providers in and out of our room. Thanks for all the congrats!!!! I'm insanely in love.

The thing I am having trouble with is balance. This baby is my last, and the newborn stage and infant stage are my favorite. I know I will never get to experience this again. I just want to sit and hold him all day. At the same time I have a lot of other things to take care of, my other kids, keeping up with cleaning, my house, and we are renovating a new house. I haven't helped much with the new house, and I feel like I am being not as good of a mom to my other kids. Usually in summer I take them swimming, and sign them up for different camps and activities, and plan fun things. They have a few activities, but I don't want to run around so much. Taking all of them to the pool seems to overwhelming. I mean I don't ignore them, and I take care of them, but between the new house and baby, this summer is very different than the last.

Congrats on going home rosesquared FfSC my supply is still crazy but it is finally slowing a bit so I don't want him to sleep through the night yet. I am finally to the point where my boobs don't hurt and actually get slightly soft after nursing. If he STTN I woukdd wake up with painful bowling balls, and I am not mentally prepared for that, ain't nursing so fun in the beginning Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

rosesquared yay for going home! We felt the same about the hospital stay and even the first few days at home. Heck, we are still scrambling, 10 days in.

It's almost 4 and I still have yet to shower, although I did get some laundry done. SIL and BIL are here so I'm gonna try and get a nap in after pumping and maybe I'll have time for a shower after. I will always choose a nap over a shower.

Cluster feeds are something else. They are intense tonight.
