DS is currently asleep in the swing and the damn thing is squeaking. It's obviously not bothering him but it's driving me nuts. It has been gloomy and raining here for days and while we desperately need the rain, it's depressing and also a killer on my sinuses. I need to grocery shopping but don't want to drag baby boy out in the rain.

sleepymonkey I would be annoyed by the squeaking as well, but at least he's sleeping not held. Has he been better about that? Not much here today. Dd1 is at dc so it's just dd2. She's so chill which is still weird after dd1. I can actually get things done off my list. A coworker is coming to visit this morning. She usually bakes goodies for us so I'm excited about that 😉

cubbiebear325, he has gotten better about being put down to sleep lately. I spent a few days just trying to put him down every time he fell asleep and I think he finally got the message that mommy wasn't going to hold him all the time. He is a lot more chill than DD was as well so it's nice to be able to get some stuff done while he sleeps or lays on his activity mat on the days DD is at daycare. I'm glad DD was my high maintenance baby because that has made DS a pleasant surprise. If she had been laid back and he was the high maintenance one, I would be so overwhelmed.

We are planning on bringing J to my office for a visit but I've got to finish feeding the kid and pump and shower and hopefully we can get out of the house soonish.
I really need to get up earlier but he sleeps so soundly early in the morning and I love that time sleeping and cuddling with him.

I went to peer support meeting about relationships and parenting....we're three kids in and still need to work on our communication and expectations so I was glad to see the topic pop up on the calendar
Now I'm home and nursing...I've been sleeping pretty good but still feel exhausted....might need a nap

sleepymonkey I'm with you on that. If dd2 had been first and dd1 second I'm not sure how I would handle it. It's crazy enough with the two now with the laid back baby. Glad our second kiddos are being kinder to us =). And glad you are able to get some stuff done as well!

We had our 1 month Dr visit this week. G gained 2 pounds in 2 weeks! Maybe now he will start STTN.

lildiamondeyes Congrats on the weight gain! Fingers crossed for STTN soon! My new blackout curtains arrived. I was able to get them up while DS hung out in the RNP. It doesn't make our room dark as night or anything, but it's definitely dim. He's been so sleepy today but won't nap for longer than an hour. As soon as he's awake and getting his diaper changed, he starts yawning and starts getting fussy 20 minutes later. I'm hoping the darker room and the new MAM pacifier help. He always has trouble keeping the Soothie in his mouth. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I managed to sneak in a nap today but got woken up by a phone call. Very glad it was someone wanting to bring over dinner! Nap cut short but dinner prep cut even shorter!

gimmesugar, have you tried Tommee Tippee pacifiers? After going through a bunch of different brands with DD, that was the only kind she would take. DS is now using them after refusing Soothies and being inconsistent about the MAm pacifiers. I have heard from a few other moms who have said their kids only like Tommee Tippee as well. Worth a shot if the MAM doesn't work.

Worth a shot if the MAM doesn't work. We have not tried those. I think the pacifiers we had to start were all gifts, so the MAMs were my first real purchase. Honestly, I was drawn in by the glow in the dark option....lol. He seems to be doing pretty good with it so far, but I'll also look into the Tommee Tippee as well. Thanks for the tip! I can't believe it's already Thursday. I feel like the last couple days we've finally started to find our groove as a family of four. My girlfriend had her baby a week ago and they're going to stop by to visit tomorrow. I'm so excited to meet her little girl and C is going to be excited to have a second baby over for a while.

gimmesugar DS didn't really care for the soothies but he loves the MAMs. Binkies are new territory for me though because C never took one.

sleepymonkey C is a grunter. It's so annoying and I've had to train myself not to check on him because he makes so much noise in his sleep. I spent some time on the deck while the boys napped until piratecat's post reminded me.a should pump as I'll have to skip the next session for Ds1's soccer game tonight.

gimmesugar DS didn't really care for the soothies but he loves the MAMs. Binkies are new territory for me though because C never took one. Ds1 never took one either but both the twins seem to like the ones the nicu used. It helps them go down drowsy so I'm all for it. Ds1 was a pain to put to sleep. We had to rock him till he was out cold.
