Yes, finally, as I'm counting the days (hours?) until my husband is home. Parenting twins solo is no joke. They're great most of the time, but we had two mini meltdowns at the same time yesterday and I was alternating soothing one, putting down and picking up the other. Repeat for an hour. I think I was sweating, lol.
What's on tap this weekend? I have a baby shower so I'll have a few baby-free hours where I'd much rather be sleeping.

More visitors this weekend. I'm so tired of it, although today it's my friend and her two kids that are the same age as mine so I'll give her pass lol. It's just exhausting when you're running on no sleep and your boobs are out 80% of the day.
My FFFC: I hate nursing. My only motivation to keep nursing is that it's free.

I can almost never think of a fffc but I think this counts. I'm realizing that while visitors are great especially because they help do stuff, I find them sooooo exhausting right now! Simply conversing feels draining lol. Also we told our parents we weren't receiving visitors for a week but all three of my bffs will have come over before our parents (though they met her in the hospital)! My mother especially has been so obnoxious that the idea of her here is maddening though in the end she's been helpful (but getting actual help and not the rediculous comments is impossible). Legit if she tells me one more fucking time that we need sleep I will fucking explode!!! 😡 Ok that went from a fffc to a rant. 😂

+1 to visitors being draining. My mom stayed with us for 10 days and although I love her she definitely started to become draining towards the end.

lupincat nursing gets better. We are to the 'easy' stage. Hang in there. (I use the word easy very very loosely. But it's no longer a hugs PITA)

We have a concert tonight. I get to take my pump with me and get to use a penthouse suite to pump in. So that will be fun

Ooh! I was tired and didn't have a fffc, but I'll jump on the visitor bandwagon. My mother-in-law takes care of her father, who is in his 90s and not physically or mentally well. She's got her hands full. When she comes over, all she wants to do is hold a baby, she's fed one one time. Meanwhile, she leaves her dad in a chair and pretty much ignores him, leaving us with one infant and worried that he will try to get up and walk around, which he does several times every single visit.
I've had several great visitors, to take one or two babies and allow me to shower, tell me to take a nap, or bring food. She is not one of them.

I know that losing my family's help will be a rough transition, but in ready to be on my own. We have only had one drop in visitor, and I'm grateful since keeping my boobs covered is way more trouble than it's worth My FFFC - I ate cookies in bed for breakfast while my kids were still asleep. Breakfast of champions, lol

Breastfeeding is hard. My nipples are sore and tired and I dread nursing and often have meltdowns where my husband tells me it's okay to stop trying. I really hope it gets better.

My ffc is that I am a little jealous of people with visitors. We moved to a new state. My dad is here but has been super busy. My mom has yet to come see the baby, she gets here on Monday. My M/FIL came for a couple of days. One lady I am starting to become friends with came by and brought a gift and meal. A few people from church dropped by meals which was nice. Over all though it has been few and far between. I feel like I had an awesome week of DH being off, but it really has been just me getting it done since then. Luckily going through med school, and residency with him, moving around all the while having babies has made this all pretty common place, so it feel like no big deal. Wah wah... My parents were the worst visitors. J was fussing and I was holding him trying to get him to settle for less than a minute and my dad told me I must not be doing it right. No fucking shit dude, I've had this baby for all of 3 days.
