sleepymonkey reflux can take a few weeks to show up. We got diagnosed at 5 weeks, but he showed signs for weeks prior (we were never told what to look for) If it is reflux, pedi said that it would take 3-4 days to really know if any change to his bottles or formula would help.

pinkmickey24, O uses Similac Pro-Advance formula. I tried Emfamil Gentlease with him a few times and he doesn't seem to like it (he fights the bottle a bit). I have a sample of Similac Pro-Sensitive that I might try this weekend if the bottles don't help. DD used Gerber Good Start Soothe formula and that helped her horrible gas issues as an infant but I hated how clumpy that formula was. But I'll try that next if the other things don't help.

I am trying to figure out what to do with the kiddos today. Everything is outside and I don't want to have O outside for more than a few minutes since it's so hot. But DD is turning in to a couch potato and we need to stop that so we need to do something. I really need to go shopping for new bras but not sure the kids will be agreeable to that.

If the sensitive doesn't work, similac also makes a spit up version (it's a light green label) that's supposed to be similar to the enfamil AR. Do you use a pitcher? We don't have clumping issues with one but do if we shake the bottle to mix

We're taking the boys to their first movie this morning to see Cars 3. DD is coming as well and I hope all goes well. She is pretty chill, so I think she will be okay. If not she and I will hang out in the lobby while DH stays with the boys in the movie.

cmb I'm getting the generic merena...I considered the copper because of the no hormones, but heard the periods can be terrible and I already have a heavier cycle...I'm hoping for no period with the merena and limited side effects because it's more localized

Do you have a library nearby sleepymonkey? We've been taking full advantage of the free children's programs and air conditioning on hot days :-)

Add us to the spit up group. It started at the same time I stopped using the nipple shield so I assume my OALD is part of the issue. I'm getting an IUD next week. I hope I don't spot for 8 weeks like last time. I did enjoy no AF after the spotting though.

river that's a good idea. I should find my Fitbit, I used to do vibrate alarms with it, maybe that would be less likely to wake her up. lastkiss cosleeping is the only way we're getting sleep - she sleeps great with me so right now we're basically cosleeping after the first wake up. But, she usually wakes up 3 times and for the last one she gets frustrated on the boob and doesn't eat well unless I get up with her. Girl hates not sleeping with us.

Made it out for a short walk today! It was still super hot even at 9:30AM (ugh), but it was more bearable than yesterday at noon. We probably walked for about 10 mins, but I'll take it.
Do growth spurts and leaps cause babies to fight going to sleep? I know DS is tired, but he just fights it initially and he has trouble staying asleep beyond one sleep cycle or transitioning from active sleep to quiet sleep. I'm just trying to figure out if I'm putting him down for a nap too soon or too late.

Mine also have a giant case of FOMO so I'm totally used to the fighting to go down 😒

Add me to the getting an IUD. I had a mirena after dd1 and loved it. I spotted for a few weeks, which was a pain, but then no periods after for the rest of the 2 years I had it. The only issue I had was mild acn, which is more common with progesterone only. I prefer combined OCP but don't trust myself to take mini pill same time daily until done bf'ing. Two kids so far is crazy and I don't want another anytime soon if ever so IUD again it is 😉
It only took 2.5hours to get myself and both kids out the door this morning. 3yo was a PITA this morning. At my ILs house, and dd2 and I are going to see my HS bff this afternoon. She just had her baby girl 1 week ago (and also has a 15m old). Excited our baby girls get to grow up together!

He thinks he wants to eat but doesn't take a bottle well if we try and usually passes out again right away in our arms.
