Baby girl has gained 2 ounces since Thursday, wahoo! Next week we go for another weight check. I'm starting to feel like I live at the pediatricians office.

I usually don't bother unless it's fallen on the ground in a public place. And then I pray that I don't get a communicable disease. But at home, I'm with you. yeah my toddler eats dirt occasionally so... Mine have ingested so much dog hair it's not funny. I'll find it randomly on a bottle. #immunity

L had his hip ultrasound and does not have hip dysplasia! V goes next week. He did well (ha) at physical therapy yesterday and is tolerating the stretches we have to do at home. I'm taking both with me to my 6 week PP appointment tomorrow, which should be fun. We have a giant snap and go stroller that I can't navigate through doorways. I'm constantly getting a wheel stuck or running it into a wall.

Went to lunch with my coworkers today and DS did so good! Although he had a poopsplosion in his car seat when DH was getting him out when we got home so that was a fun cleanup.

sleepymonkey Sorry for the return of AF on top of having an especially fussy baby! MH is good about occasionally kicking me out of the house when he gets home from work. Basically, we'll save some simple errands for me to do. I dropped off a prescription, and I'm currently sitting at a cafe drinking an iced mocha. Love my baby, but I get cabin fever just being in the house with him all the time. It took a random crying fit (me) after a particularly rough day and ranting that I just wanted to go for a drive. txcatlady Aw man! There are so many crevices to clean! I was burping DS today and his poop defied gravity and went up his back. He was wearing a white onesie, and I could just see it seeping and spreading. I was powerless and just had to wait for him to finish. I got a new diaper on him, but before I secured it, he pooped again...and then had the audacity to give me an adorable smile. Jerk. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Eventually I figured out how to maneuver that monstrosity while holding doors open for myself when out and about with the boys. Now pushing a single snap and go seems like a breeze. L must be going through a growth spurt. He's eaten every 2 hours since 2pm. I just hope he sleeps now for a bit.

After DS's super fussy, non-sleeping day yesterday he seems to be feeling better today. He woke up to have a bottle at 7am but went right back to sleep in his swing and is still sleeping. I need to get him up and dressed so we can go to my parents' house but he looks so peaceful. He'll probably wake up soon for another bottle so maybe I'll just wait until then. He has been hungry every 3-3 1/2 hrs rather than 4 hrs the past few days so I tried to bump up his formula from 4 oz to 4 1/2 yesterday. He ended up not finishing any bottles, which is very rare for him. So I guess he wants to just stay at the 4oz but eat more often. It just sucks at night because his stretches have gone from one 5 hr and one 4 hr to a 4 hr and a 3 hr.

Two nights in a row, G has gone to bed at 10! Fx he sleeps like last night. Please oh please let me get some sleep. Solo parenting sucks on no sleep.

Today is my last day home alone with DS. H is off tomorrow and then I go back to work on Monday. I can't believe how quickly maternity leave has flown by! I remember with DD, it seemed to drag and I was ready to go back. This time, not so much. I think it may have something to do with not feeling so overwhelmed this time like I did as a FTM. I just craved "normalcy" last time. I am looking forward to getting in to a routine and having adult conversations. I am a little nervous leaving DS with my parents, though. In the time since DD was an infant and they watched her full time, they have definitely seemed to age. My mom's hand tremors have gotten a lot worse and they're both showing slight age-related memory issues (they're in their 70s). I love and appreciate that they want to watch him and not have him go to daycare when he's so little but it's still causing me a little anxiety.

sleepymonkey already? Hard to believe how fast time seemed to go by. While having family available to watch the baby is great, I understand your anxiety. Fx it all worked out.

lildiamondeyes, if I had a vaginal delivery, I would have been back at work last week! I only take my STD leave, which is 8 weeks for a c-section. The time has really gone fast. I feel like I was still pregnant just a few days ago!

sleepymonkey time is flying. I also feel like my first mat leave dragged and I was ready and this one has flown. I also only have 8 weeks and go back 3 weeks from next Monday. I'm not ready! Good luck to you. I'm getting worried about dd2. For the past few weeks she will occasionally (about every 2-3 days) projectile spit up quite a bit. I have been attributing to my OS and OALD and her seemingly natural gassiness and tendency to overeat (I think). However since Tuesday evening it has happened 3 times and smaller spit up in between. She's peeing and pooping fine. Content otherwise, but I can't help but be concerned about possible reflux, milk protein intolerance, or worst possible case pyloric stenosis (though so rare in a breastfed girl). Calling pedi this morning to see if I should take her in. I have started burping more frequently and holding upright after feedings. There is just so much that comes up and shoots out when it happens =/
