cubbiebear325, I hope the pedi can help you and your DD's spit up gets better. DS doesn't projectile spit up but every few days he spits up a ton and is generally a little crankier and sleeps less. He will spit up a bunch an hour or 2 after having a bottle and it comes up with a little more force than normal (it's also a different consistency). Then he's constantly hungry because he has spit up a lot of each bottle. I have tried to change his formula twice to a gentle formula and both times, it got worse. His 2 month appt is on 7/3 so I am definitely going to bring it up to the pedi to see if there's anything we can do for him.

sleepymonkey sorry you are dealing with lots of spit up as well. Hope your pedi has suggestions for you also! Dd2 will projectile it out then fall asleep for a bit then be starving. I'm sure she's fine and it's just the OS, OALD, her gulping air, etc all combined but still want to make sure I don't miss anything and her next appt isn't until her 2 mo on 8/1. Not waiting that long!

I had to put away outgrown newborn clothes yesterday. 😕 and DS decided not to sleep well last night, up almost every hour. But today he just wants mommy snuggles so I'm just going to soak it in today.
Hopefully tonight will go better, we're going to visit my dad and stepmom tomorrow afternoon so hopefully we have a happy baby.

Do any of you with "older" babies (6 weeks +) still have some days where baby sleeps all day? DS is 7 1/2 weeks and some days he sleeps so much. For example, today I think he has been awake maybe for 2 hours collectively. Usually at this time he is his most awake and interactive and he is sleeping. DD was always a terrible daytime sleeper so she definitely didn't have these days. I would think he would have outgrown sleeping all day by now.

sleepymonkey I hope your transition back to work goes smoothly. How has it been eight weeks already? I'm miserable. I think my PP period is trying to start and I'm not even at the 6 week mark. If it shows before Wednesday I guess I'll have to reschedule my 6 week follow-up. If it's not my period then I have a uti or something. Not to be TMI, but the heavy bleeding has been over since the end of week two. However, the light spotting never went away. The spotting today seems to be more prominent. I was hoping my body could once go with the norm instead of against since I'm breastfeeding. Oh well, such is life. Sorry to sound like a downer. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

Mine are 7 weeks tomorrow, and Tuesday was a very sleepy day for L, who is awake more than his sister. I was nervous about the night, but that was sleepy, too. It was a random thing, he was back to his routine Wednesday and today.

cubbiebear325 that sounds just like my DS1 when he was a baby. He would projectile vomit a lot, but was a "happy spitter" as they call it. They actually tested him for pylori stenosis. He drank a bottle with barium, then they took x rays. He was totally fine, and mine was OS/OALD related. My son also over ate. I feel your pain!! It lasted a few weeks then went away. Block nursing helped, have you tried that. I prefer fully drained block nursing, I think it works better, and faster. My little guy is nursing way more, and fighting sleep like mad. I need to get stuff done, but the minute I set him down he wakes up. Hello wonder week! Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

How is he at night those days sleepymonkey? We're struggling with no significant naps during the day and wanting to be held @7+ weeks pinkmickey24I had the same experience with DD2...spotting and at 6 weeks it got a little heavier...thought I was going to start my first PP period...then it stopped and I didn't get a period until DD2 was 14 months

chknma Thank you for sharing your experience. I'm hoping it is similar to yours. I would at least like to make it to my 6 week appointment. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

It's a Friday miracle, both kids slept until 8am! I love when it rains in the morning, it's like nature's white noise machine.
We had B's one month appointment two days ago and he packed on 3lbs in a month. So we're up to 12lb5oz since he dropped his birth weight. I figured he was getting chunky by the fat rolls on his arm 😍

sleepymonkey Yes, G was sleepy all day yesterday and then slept really well last night. If you follow the wonder weeks, babies are gearing up for a leap at 7.5 weeks. So I assume that's he reason.

I have the app and the book and it seems like mine are following their birth dates rather than due dates... Did anyone else find that the same?

Yes, but his brain and head always measured 2+ weeks ahead of his EDD. My first was late and went by his EDD.
