Seriously, when do the witching hours, or what we refer to as fussy butt time in our house, end? I cannot remember when dd1 ended hers. I'm thinking between 2-3m? Dd2 just has hers at a terrible time during dd1 bedtime routine. Dh gets frustrated and can't calm her. She only will calm for me, but I do most of dd1's bedtime routine. Every evening is so hard with her screaming. I don't want to rush time with our last baby, but man, I need them to end! It's around 3ish months. Are you sure she's not overtired? DD2 might need to go down first

cubbiebear325, DD's witching hours started getting better around 2 months and then were pretty much gone by 3. Luckily DS has avoided having them for the most part. He does have his days where he doesn't sleep enough and then gets fussy in the evenings but he's consolable.

I'm home with both kids today. I really need to go to Target to buy some more bottles. I currently only have barely enough for one day and I would like to have some extras for O's extra-hungry days and also for when I get behind on washing bottles. But I'm not sure I feel like going to the store with both kids. I still struggle with going out with 2 of them by myself. It's just so intimidating to me.

cmb I don't think so. She woke up at 630 yesterday then back down 8-1040, back to sleep 12-3, then 410-630. From about 7-9 if I get her to sleep she doesn't stay that way for long. But she did sleep from 830-910 then down for longer stretch 940-2. Seems to be sleeping enough for almost 6 week old during the day to me I would think. She won't stay asleep unless held, by me, from 7-9 and will still fuss on and off then cat nap

Doing my first solo day today with no grandma help. So far dd2 was up at 545 and dd1 at 605, which is early for both. Hoping it goes well. I get most nervous about putting dd1 down for her nap bc she likes one of us to lay with her whole she falls asleep. One of my sisters is coming up to visit with my 5yo and 1yo nieces bc they haven't seen K yet. The 5yo niece will at least keep dd1 busy for a few hrs and wear her out!

cubbiebear325, good luck with your first solo day. It's always good when you can tire out the older one. That's what I struggle with the most when I'm home with both kids. DD needs to run around and get energy out for her to take a decent nap in the afternoon. But it is way too hot outside to have DS out for longer than a few minutes so our only other options are the mall play area or Chik-Fil-A for lunch and their play area.

Dh works today, all weekend and the 4th. I am trying to plan stuff to do. Inlaws invited the girls over to play with the kittens. I was gonna skip church, but perhaps I should go just to get out of the house eh? Sorry to everyone having sleep/witching time issues. Hopefully this all passes quickly.

sleepymonkey Do you have a children's museum where you live? We have a membership to our local one and have went a few times this maternity leave. Dd1 loves it and never wants to leave. It definitely wears her out. Plus there is a nursing nook, which is a bonus for me. We also do the library, which she likes as well. Though chick-fil-a is always a good option too! Just throwing some other ideas out there for you! It gets too hot for dd2 here also so indoor options for dd1 are a must!

I took DS shopping with me today alone and it went well! I got a couple of outfits that fit now and aren't maternity clothes. I needed something to wear to my sisters 5th bday party next weekend.

I haven't taken both boys out by myself yet, I'm also pretty intimidated by it. I usually recruit my mom to come with me or wait until it's a day that H is home.

Hi everyone! I hate that I've been so mia lately!! Yesterday was the worst day I've had since K was born where she was screaming while I was bawling holding her. Just like out of a movie lol. I'm clearly feeling a little better but I'm so stressed and worried about my supply and yesterday we gave in and gave some formula (I know fed is best but I really want bf to work) but I just feel so lost on the whole issue. Do I really have a supply problem or does she just have silent reflux?! She meets like half the criteria for both issues. And then if I'm trying to boost my supply I got conflicting advice from my pedi and the LC and it's seems everyone gets conflicting advice so it's like what do I do to boost my supply and throughout the day there are so many questions that arise. Ugh parenting is hard! 😫
Sorry to vent but that's what's up in my life. We're hoping to go for a picnic today so that should be fun if we make it out of the house.

rosesquared You are doing a great job. I too am struggling with breastfeeding and I struggles with the twins as well. I remember the emotions that came with it and the tears because I felt like my body was failing me and my babies. So I'm sending you hugs! DD is struggling with weight gain. She gains then loses, then gains, then loses, and the cycle continues. My issue seems to be supply. To boost my supply my pediatricians office is having me take fenugreek three times a day. It has helped up my supply. Also, I have found oatmeal has helped some with boosting my supply. My supply still isn't great, but it's better with the add of the fenugreek. It took about a week to notice anything. DD gets formula with each feed as a supplement. Hang in there momma you are doing great! Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

That's so funny that you said that cause I was debating adding some brewers yeast to my oatmeal but I'd never heard of anyone doing it. How much do you add?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
