piratecat yeah one of the problems is every time I've done a weighed feed she's gotten 2 ounces or less. The LC said she should really be getting closer to 3 ounces. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

sleepymonkey same here! DS cried in his sleep and it sounded like a little boy cry not a new baby cry... I may have cried with him I bought a couple of good nursing bras and a hands free pumping attachment from bravado today. Hopefully they fit well, the ones I bought from motherhood and wore while pregnant don't fit well now. I've been doing a lot of online shopping the past couple of days. I think I'm nervous about only having 2 weeks of maternity leave left and I don't have many things that fit right now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

txcatlady , I have been doing a lot of online shopping now too. It's exhausting trying to shop with 2 kids, even when I have H there to help. I'm even thinking of trying out grocery shopping online. I just got a $10 off deal for Walmart grocery pickup and one for Publix delivery. Until I can get DS used to the Lillebaby, grocery shopping will be difficult since you can fit hardly anything in a cart with a car seat in it.

Omg sleepymonkey he is so cute! rosesquared big hugs! Pretty much everything about being a parent is stressful lol. Have you done any power pumps? I definitely notice an increase in my supply when I power pump. And drink a ton of water. But I'm taking fenugreek and eating lactation cookies as well. lastkiss I was going to ask if anyone else was EPing. I am too! I have been totally MIA lately. It has been so crazy here. I've been up since 4am yesterday because I had to take B to the ER while DH stayed home with C. We're home now but he has mastitis. I had no idea babies could get it but turns out it's not super uncommon. My sister and I both thought it was just gas that was causing his extreme fussiness and screaming in pain but when DH was getting him undressed for me to give him a bath he noticed a huge lump and red mark on his breast. Then the nurses in the ER couldn't get the IV in. They tried so many times I lost count. They even called the nurses from the NICU to try but nothing worked. Ugh it was so horrible. Finally they gave up and decided to see if he'd take the antibiotics orally and thankfully he did. He's still pretty fussy and super tired but I'm glad we're home.

rosesquared maybe treat a nursing session as the first part of a power pump? If she nurses until you're empty, maybe wait 10 minutes, pump 10, take a 10 minute break then pump for 10 again? That's a total guess but it makes sense in my head.

tortor4 Awww! I hope B gets plenty of rest and feels better soon! rosesquared I'm so sorry for all the stress! Mom guilt is for real! I remember being in tears one night during a diaper change (can't remember why though). MH had to take DS to another room for a bit and brought him back when he was ready to feed. Just last night, we were at a friend's house for dinner. DS did his first stretch of night sleep there, and we transitioned home once he woke up. Of course he was hungry and crying, and I was holding him apologizing over and over that I couldn't feed him yet. He was totally fine once we got home (about 5 mins away) and went back to sleep without issue. Clearly I was more traumatized than he was. Due to DS's short naps, we went out a bought a swing. I would always have to run into the room and soothe him back to sleep after 30-40 minutes, and that was hit or miss. Now he's sleeping 1.5 hours or more for each nap. Never has this meme been more appropriate for me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm glad the swing is helping with naps, gimmesugar. That's the reason we bought the swing for DD but unfortunately it did not work for her. However, DS loves the pink flower swing (I was not buying a new one) and he takes all of his naps in it.

I learned the other week that there are swings that go side to side.. I thought they all went front to back. Needless to say, my kid hates the side to side one after being in a front to back one his whole life

sleepymonkey he is so cute! tortor4 I hope B is feeling better. What a tough experience for mama. I wish my kids would sleep in a swing. Even ds1 wouldn't fall asleep. Their cool with sitting in it for 15min or so but as soon as they get tired they start screaming their heads off.

cmb, our swing goes front to back or side to side. I haven't even tried front to back with DS because he's been happy with side to side. DD hated front to back but sort of tolerated side to side.

Yeah K will nap in her mamaroo only if she's swaddled and asleep before we put her in it... She won't fall asleep in it. We have a regular swing too but haven't tried it much. I've heard some babies super prefer either the front to back swings or the side to side ones.
