Guys, I'm wearing jeans today. My regular skinny jeans. Buttoned and everything. It's a good thing since I go back to work in 2 weeks.

DS was 14 weeks yesterday. He's still a really content, happy baby. He also has his hands in his mouth nonstop and has also discovered his feet and finds them to be fascinating. He loves watching his big sister play and we have found he is very ticklish. He isn't rolling over yet but he tries, usually when he's on his changing pad. He's still not on a consistent schedule during the day but has mostly fallen into a 7:30pm bedtime with a 10:30pm and 4am bottle each night. I'm still struggling to get my eating habits in check and get to the gym. I start each day with good intentions and then life gets in the way.

Hi Everyone!! K is a little over 9 weeks and at her 2 month appointment last week she was 10 pounds 2 ounces and 23.5 inches long... So she's long and lean. (Unlike her short curvy mamas lol!!) She just started really talking and her voice is so adorable. I've been trying to institute more day time naps for both of us so that I'm not a basket case by the end of the day. Some days it works better than others in that K will also nap well, other days she sucks at naps. I really want to get into some sort of routine but I know it's still early. DW and I just tried to have an hour of adult TV time while K slept and of course she woke up right when the show started. 😫 But our doula is here tonight so that's always amazing!

It felt good to be able to wear them. But they still fit more snugly than pre-baby and certainly not as comfortable as stretchy pants/skirts...

rosesquared how's breastfeeding going for you and how's your W's PDD? Ooooh good memory and thanks for asking! Her PPD is basically gone but I'd say a week or so after it got much better her dad went into the hospital and was dead within 2 weeks. So we've had a tough month!! She's doing so much better about everything though including her dad. It was really sad though. (He'd been fighting cancer for years but was doing ok then went downhill insanely fast.) I'm still dealing with milk supply issues and being a crazy person trying to increase it. I'm right now deciding whether as a last stitch effort to try a prescription medication but I'm insanely torn about it. Part of me is sooooo hopeful it could work and get me where I want to be breastfeeding but it does come with some pretty major risks and there's not a ton of information on its safety for K so yeah. Right now she only gets an extra 5-6 ounces of suppliment a day so not awful but I still hate it. And I'm still pumping after most feeds so about 3-6 times a day. 😝 But my LC is coming tomorrow (today) morning so we'll see where we're at.

rosesquared I'm sorry for your loss. That must've been so hard but I'm so glad to hear that your W is doing better. And I'm sorry that you are still dealing with supply issues. J is 10.5 weeks and just in the last couple of weeks we have been able to go from about 5 oz. or supplementing to almost none - an occasional 1 oz. bottle here and there, which we could do without if we really wanted to. The thing that my pediatrician said at his last visit that really helped me - and I'm sure that you've heard it before, because I had heard it before too, but for some reason it didn't click until then - is that the baby is getting all of the benefits of being breastfed. I think it is worth reminding yourself of that and the fact that you have already made such great progress! And you've worked incredibly hard at it, you should be proud of yourself.

piratecat what did you do to be able to get off the suppliment?!?! And thanks! ☺️ I did what you are doing and my supply finally just caught up. How has her weight gain been? At J's 2-month visit he was still taking between 3-5 oz. per day and the pediatrician said we could try doing without the formula if we wanted and see how he does since she felt he was gaining well with some wiggle room.

piratecat we've been seeing our LC every week (she gets weighed and does a weighed feed each time) so we tried tapering off the suppliment and she had a week with minimal gain so we learned kind of exactly where she needs to be suppliment wise. 🙁 So we're kind of stuck there unless I try something else to further boost my supply. Thanks tortor4!!
