It was great. Now not so much. I'm missing my 10 hours of sleep.

piratecat I just checked one of my sleep books, and the average number of feedings for babies 3-6 months old is 2-3 (low is 0 and high is 4). Breastfed babies tend to fall in the average to high range. We are at 4 most nights, 3 on an occasional good night, so maybe he is making some progress... 😝

gimmesugar did Daycare say he can't sleep in the swing? That's where DS2 sleeps at daycare. I went out and got the one he likes since he didn't like theirs, but they don't mind him sleeping in it as long as he's strapped in Well, they didn't say one way or another. When we toured, we just saw cribs along the sides of the room where each child could sleep. I honestly don't know where they would fit a swing. I plan on going there next week with my mom to ask questions that I didn't have before he was born, so I'll ask them. I do know that they won't swaddle but will use sleep sacks. Definitely ask. Each baby here has a crib, but they're not required to sleep there until they move to the older infant room. Swings are set up when babies need them and put away if there's no little ones to use them. Also, ours will swaddle until they can roll then it has to be a wearable blanket until a certain age (maybe 6-8 months? DS1 was 9 months and had a blanket)

cmb Good to know. I'm sure each DC is different, and I'm hoping the teacher (who has been doing this job for 20+ years) will be flexible or can offer some alternatives. I'm sure they do or don't do certain things for liability reasons. DS is honestly getting a little big and heavy for the swing, so he's been doing pretty good at lower speeds. It's also a huge PITA to bring the swing when we travel lol. I think he's getting close to rolling because he can get on his side and seems to "want" to keep going based on his grunts....so I'm sure our swaddling days are limited anyway.
