So now that a bunch have gone through the experience.... care to reflect on what you brought? What did you realize you didn't need... what did you wish you had?
Ps. How long were you in the hospital?

I went very minimal because I brought so much with my DS1. I prefer to stay in the hospital gown the whole time so I didn't bring clothes other than to go home in. I basically just had toiletries, a towel, phone charger, snacks, an outfit for DS2, and my pumping bra.
I was in the hospital from Friday night through Monday morning.

B was born at 1:20 Thursday morning and we left the following day. I way over packed with C so I did a little better this time. Two days worth of clothes for me and H. Two outfits for B. Toiletries, makeup, phone chargers. I think that's pretty much it.

I packed relatively light and still didn't use everything. I got to the hospital at 7:30am Monday and was released around 4:30 on Wednesday (RCS). I brought my own nightgown but ended up not using it (though I did last time). What I used: Phone charger Toiletries Lip balm Hair ties Comfy clothes to wear home Going home outfit for baby

Used:
-Phone charger and extension cord -own gown for labor (until they made me change because the anesthesiologist didn't like the tiny bit of fabric on my back 👎🏻) -own clothing and pads once showered -44x44" swaddles -onesies for baby after his first bath -book to read/computer
We went in Monday night, I had him Tuesday afternoon, and we left Wednesday afternoon

I went in Friday at 1 am left Saturday at 11 am. It was a super short stay!
I brought my cell phone, charger, glasses, contact holder, solution, my own pads (hate the mesh) underwear, pajamas, nursung bra, going home outfit for baby and me, pacifier, swaddling blanket, diasper bag, and makeup. That was everything I needed.

I overpacked. I did the other times and prob will the next times. *shrug* I do need to remember to take slippers. Those hospital socks suck and left fuzzies everywhere.

P.S. I'm amazed at all your short hospital stays!! I mean I guess I won't know til I'm there but I'm arriving Tuesday morning and they said to anticipate a Saturday AM discharge, MAYBE Friday night. I can leave when I want (within reason) but I kinda look forward to staying there as long as I can.
My last hospital stay was 10 days (because I had complications) and it was glorious (minus the complications lol) hahaha

SomersIsles mine was an uncomplicated vaginal delivery. The pedi wasn't too keen on letting us go at 24 hours, but my MWs are willing to discharge then, especially when there is another child at home. State law mandates a 24 hour stay though. My insurance would have let me stay for 48 hours if I wanted to do so
