DH is getting a fitness tracking watch and Bluetooth headphones for running. Also doing DAD photos with the boys (of DS1 cooperates).

It's DH's first FD so I already bought out a onesie for R that says "happy Father's Day, I love you" on it. A card, homemade Stromboli, and a few hours out of the house so he can enjoy some "me" time will round out the day. He says he doesn't want anything since he is a minimalist but I also remember seeing something that was worn out and thought to myself that would be a great gift. Now only if I can remember what that thing was....

Ahhhh I need to get him something because he finally got me my mother's rings that I wanted. Last year I did the pictures with F holding DAD letters, so maybe I'll make a new one with Clara in it. But I should probably do something else too. A gift card to Home Depot? Lol

I'm saving up to surprise him with a Klein tools heavy duty lunch box. Not sure what we'll do the day of. I just looked this up and my husband would love this. *puts it on his Christmas list*

H wants a fishing rod.
We're going down to his parents. It will be L's first visit down there. His mother didn't want us to come because they have tickets to a show that night 20 minutes from their house. So that was lovely before H lost it on her and asked why we couldn't come for lunch. She tends to pull this stuff because she doesn't like people to come to her house. But I didn't want to do another restaurant and then walking around the mall like we did for Mother's Day. My ILs get too annoying with the baby ("I'll take her! I want to push her in the stroller! Let me carry her in the Ergo that I've never used before and will flip out about the entire time I'm wearing her"). So we're going to their house where it's not as stressful (lol).

I don't have big plans. Probably a card and some family time. DH never does anything big for me on Mother's day. He's not the kind of person that gets sappy or needy about these sort of celebrations.

I will follow h's lead and copy what he did for Mother's Day. Frantically print pictures at Walgreens and make a card the morning of. He also taught DS1 to say "happy mommy day," so I've been working on "happy dada day." I'll then probably buy some amazing steaks, make his favorite sides, and watch the boys while he grills. Well in that case, I'll say "happy father's day" then send him to church solo with both the boys and spend the entire day napping before having him make dinner. Sounds like a fun day to me!

Also, H may very well be working on FD. He hasn't given me his schedule yet.
