Are we doing these here? Finally getting around to checking in and getting it up!
We checked in to the hospital around 515 for 715 c section. Between nerves, dh snoring and dd1 waking up, I got maybe 3 hours of sleep that night. So I was tired but excited. They walked me back to the OR at 715. They let dh in with me from the start this time, which I found strange bc they usually don't for the spinal, but it was nice. Either I forgot all the pressure and pulling or it was more this time, but man it was a rough first few minutes of the section. Dd2 was born at 731 and I had just known the entire pregnancy it was another girl so it was wonderful when that was confirmed! They let me skin to skin again in the OR, this time immediately after her initial check/sugars. Last time I had to keep pushing and eventually got it. I was out of the OR at 755 and she took right to nursing like a champ just like dd1 did while recovering back in the room. Around 930 grandma brought dd1 up and dh got her from the waiting room. She was so excited. She wanted a baby sister the entire time. Dd2 also opened her eyes right when she heard dd1 speak and looked around....she heard her voice so much inside! It was so sweet!
We had a rough first night. Dd2 screamed all night and it took us until about 3ish to figure out it was gas, but I didn't get any sleep. Dh got some but it was rough. We have been doing better ever since. I got a nap and some sleep last night. No screaming but dd2 likes to be held and not laid in the bassinet, same as her sister was. Planning on going home this morning and I'm ready. Dd1 has been up daily but I am ready to have our family home! Also hoping for some naps and more sleep. It's so difficult to sleep well in the hospital!
Just want to thank all of you for the support this pregnancy! After my small fluid rupture and sub chorionic hemorrhage in November, I really didn't think we would be here today with a healthy little girl. You guys helped so much while on bed rest! My on even told me she saw weird tissue around my cervix under the placenta and outside of the membranes during my section. She called dd2 our miracle baby and still says my case is one of the weirdest she has had but with the best outcome <3
