I have the same thoughts. It's amazing how early we can tell these days. With that being said, I will find out but not until around weeks 18-20 at our anatomy scan. Oh it's amazing. With DD I found out at 10 weeks because I paid for a private blood test. Now insurance includes it in the bloodwork. It blows my mind how soon pee sticks pick up a pregnancy. I'm pretty sure that some of my family would rather we find out now.  |

We are going green. H wants to do it "the old fashioned way" and I want to be surprised so it works out. They are checking to see if our insurance covers any early genetic testing. If it does we will likely do the tests, but just to make sure we have a healthy baby.
We were already getting asked if we have names picked out and if we thought boy or girl yesterday.

Congrats, kensie5226 !!!  I just had my NIPT draw on Monday so 1-2 weeks and we will know! Well, I will know. H doesn't want to and thinks he can willfully ignore the rest of the pregnancy and be surprised at labor. I'll make sure to tell the doctor not to mention it when H is at appointments (which because he works in hospitality is not often). He also has no desire to be at any baby showers so anything non-gender neutral I'll just keep in a box and wash/organize/whatever when he's at work. Edited to add: Please don't take the above that he's not excited or involved. He is, very much so, but he wants to be kept in the dark about the sex and his work schedule is nutso (has been since we met so it's nothing new for us). I can't imagine being able to keep the secret from MH. For example, if It is a girl, I would buy girl's clothes, strongly debate girls names, etc while letting him win the argument for a boy's name. Congrats on the boy kensie5226! We're doing the genetic testing at my appt June 8, so am guessing we'll find out shortly after that. I need to know as soon as possible, I do not have the patience to be team green. |

Got my bloodwork back today and everything is good. We are team...Green! Ha. I told them not even to include it in the order so I don't have the temptation to know. This is my husband's idea but I am good with it. Exciting
