shellbell, I hope you feel/ are feeling better! It's still raining here and I'm over it. It's 67°! I want to get outside and do stuff! DH bought a bunch of rhododendrons for the front perimeter of the house, so we need to get those in the ground. Other than that, I need to catch up on laundry. Totally dropped the ball with all the forum stuff going on yesterday.

I find it funny that one of the main concerns when TD went under was "we need to find a place that accepts us" like wasn't too stingy on swearing, etc, then they pretty much realised "well guess we have to make our own home for that to happen".
Then in all the rush to jump ship (ntm there are people still posting on TCF which I find funny when it was SUCH A PANIC TO LEEEEAVE) no body bothered to like make a poll for a consensus on where to go, Or even send like a spokes person over to SM and say "hey this is what's going on would we fit in here". Instead everybody gets confused and riled as hell, people create accounts all over, post like mad for the sake of post counts they don't really need, ruffle feathers, break the forum. Cool. I'm just glad we're here together.

Groups have defected here, FB, and there is a politics forum (that is vying to be "the place" and a forum McBenny from parenting created that is also vying to be "the place", however, that board doesn't allow lurking without signing in, and the politics board is holding voting for admins as we speak, with the goal of picking the owners/admins and then determining where to live as not everyone is thrilled with the idea of moving to an entirely parenting-controlled board a la the one McBenny created (although I do believe her goal was to elect mods and admins from all walks of TCF and hand over executive control to anyone who may have wanted it?) I think that sums it up, but like flyinghorses6 said - everyone is fractured now so it totally has defeated the purpose of raising a stink for more members. ETA: sorry for my run-on sentence. |
