Someone asked me while J was getting chemo if they could do a news story on him. We are considering it. It would help raise awareness for my son's rare cancer. Have you heard of the BumbleBee Foundation? I know they provide resources and support, but I'm not sure what all is included. If nothing else it would be extra support and good thoughts for J. They're on FB, you can pm me if you need help finding them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I've had chick fil a like ... 5 times? And I live within a 10 min drive lol. The food is decent, but I swore them off after learning more about the political beliefs of the company owners. I'll eat it, but I won't pay for it. Just one of my hills. I also had it one time and it was so disgusting I don't even have the words. Like the oil wasn't hot enough when they put the chicken in the fryer so there's that too.

nugget platter... ah I'll take your word for it 🙄 They cater! Normal sizes range from 4-12 nuggets. But the sandwiches and chicken biscuits are the real stars.

I'm really glad I had chicken for lunch or I'd be seriously craving it now! Although not having ever had cfa probably helps because I can't imagine exactly what it tastes like.
We had a busy, but fun weekend. Beach trip, a hike, a bbq here, a bbq at a friend's house, a fancy dinner out to celebrate DH's new job, a visit with my sister, and some nagging chores like cleaning the railings on the deck and the outside of that gutters.
At our fancy dinner I ate a lot of not recommended for preggos food. Rare steak, blue cheese butter, house made mayo dip for my frites, cured meats. Worth it!

The meatloaf was the bomb, MH said is was he best he has ever had (take that MIL). The mashed potatoes were awesome too, so I decided to make brownies. DS2 ate peas, so that's neat. Wanna share your recipe? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Scale down as you wish, measurements are, at times, estimated. Mix {by hand in a large bowl} 3lbs ground beef 1c dried minced onion 3T garlic powder 5 eggs 2.5c Italian bread crumbs 1-2T Worcestershire sauce Pepper - until I wanted to chuck the grinder 25 turns on the salt grinder Shred about 1c sharp cheddar 1/3c bacon pieces (I get Hormel and save myself lots of work) Divide into 3-4 sections Take 1 section and divide it in approx 1/2. Form larger 1/2 into a flat shape with raised edge. Take shredded cheese and spread evenly into the middle to the edges. Take 1/2 of the bacon pieces and sprinkle on the cheese. Take the remaining bacon and mix either the remaining beef mixture. Flatten and cover the cheese/beef layer. Seal edges, creating a long loaf shape. Lightly press down along the middle with the edge of your hand to keep from puffing up on the middle. Bake 350 for 60 min, making sure the beef reaches 160* Sauce 1c katsup 1/4c yellow mustard 3T brown sugar *these are estimated and my starting point. I don't like it to taste like katsup or be too sweet, I prefer a bit of tang to it. Pour over the top and bake another 8 min. I just shaped the other 2 into loafs with the middle "well" and froze.

Great. Now I want an M&M Blizzard, but I'm going to settle for a warm M&M brownie sundae. 😂
My husband is putting the boys to bed solo tonight, I'm hooked on this Princess Diana story on CBS. In my defense, we don't have a way to record and I didn't know it would be longer than an hour. Oops

Oh and trust that my mom and brother more than make up for me not eating it. They go at least once a week.

bethkate, I rate the "you don't know what you're in for" statement with the "Did you plan to get pregnant?" Both unnecessary.

Every once and awhile I find myself in the mood for meatloaf, but it always ends in disappointment. I think I like the idea of it more than actually eating it.

So, I'm going to make the randoms turn dark for a second, sorry
I worked last night, and at around 11pm, a lady I was working with gasped and turned on the news.
Ariana Grande was in concert Manchesters arena, and after she finished, a bomb had been let off.
For the whole night we were just watching as the confirmed dead and injured number rose. I was fucking horrible.
Most of the concert people were kids, under the age of 16. It's just been realised that an 8 year old has died, along with a 16 year old.
There are so many children that had no idea where their parents are and are in local hotels really near to the arena.
What vile creatures to even set off a bomb, but to do it to innocent children. I cannot get my head around it. Google it if you want to read or know the full story.
It is a terrifying thought that DH was only in Manchester on Sunday, watching a football game in their football stadium. We are 4 hours away from Manchester.
