Anyone want to keep me company? This is a good one: water breaks an hour before I leave for my induction. Guess we picked the right day

DS2 was a terror last night so we're snuggling in bed while he gets some needed sleep.

Laying in bed with both kids while trying to pump and figure out how to get C to leave the baby alone. She just will not stay out of his face. Was it your water last night angryowl? I have my fingers crossed for you!

It was! I have an outside baby, born at 10:01 after a very fast labor (meds turned out not to be an option lol). More soon!

Wow, congrats angryowl!! Good luck irish14! Night one at home was...not good. We were truly spoiled with DS1 and so far DS2 is not following suit. He was up most of the night and refused to sleep in the pack and play at all. So H stayed up from 12am-3am and I took over at 3am. I'll need to think of a better game plan for tonight.

I'm pumping and we're supplementing with formula, is cluster feeding still possible? (Anyone, not just directed to you lol)

Yay, angryowl! Congratulations! Good luck, irish14! I slept like crap last night and now I have a bad headache. I kept DD home from daycare today because she has a fever and a cough. I have an appt with the midwife this morning to check out my incision because they agree that it shouldn't still hurt much 3 weeks out. My parents are going to come watch the kiddos while I go to that and then hopefully they can stay most of the day. DD wants extra attention when she's sick and with her already feeling sensitive about having to adjust to having a baby in the house, I could really use the extra help today so I can focus on her.

lupincat nights 2 and 4 were the worst for us- we ended up cosleeping both nights (it was like he had what should have been "the second night" on night 4). Hopefully you'll start seeing an improvement! At almost a month, he's starting to follow DS1's newborn sleep patterns Do you swaddle at all?

DS is FF and he has times when he wants to eat every hour, which I consider cluster feeding. His usually occurs in the evening a few times a week. You might also want to look into a RNP. I swore I would not use it for DS to sleep in at night (DD slept in it and it seemed to cause gas issues for her). But he sleeps so well in it, much better than the swing. It really cradles him and I think makes him feel swaddled. And he doesn't seem to have the gas issues DD had so it hasn't been a problem yet.
