I'm starting a Whole 30 today so I thought I would post this.
1. How did last week go?
2. Goals for this week?
3. Food thoughts (recipes, grocery shopping, etc.)
4. Questions/AW/Rants/Thoughts:
5. GTKY. How do you drink your coffee? Or tea?

1. How did last week go? Eh. I ate more cheat meals than I wanted to but I did get two workouts in.
2. Goals for this week? Stay on my meal plan & work out at least twice.
3. Food thoughts (recipes, grocery shopping, etc.) Whole 30 has me spiraling on paleo recipes. I made the below recipe for my breakfast's this week and it is delicious!
Chicken Sausage Hash
2 sweet potatoes peeled and diced 1 yellow onion diced 1 green pepper diced 1 clove of garlic 1 cup of sliced mushrooms 3 Wegmans Organic Chicken Apple Sausages (from the 6 pack) 2 cups of arugula 5 eggs 2 tsp. smoked paprika Salt and pepper
Sauteed the sweet potato, onion, green pepper, mushrooms and garlic until the potatoes were tender, added the arugula until it wilted. Sprinkled with the smoked paprika, salt and pepper. Transferred the hash into containers. Cleaned the pan out and fried the five eggs and added those on top of each breakfast.
4. Questions/AW/Rants/Thoughts: I am excited about this Whole 30. I want to see if it affects some of my skin and stomach issues. Also excited to see how much weight I lose. Even if it's not much I'm sure there will be plenty of NSV's that will outweigh it.
5. GTKY. How do you drink your coffee? Or tea? Definitealy a coffee drinker. Normally I drink a medium roast with some almondmilk creamer and a small pinch of sugar. I don't like it too sweet. I have to drink it black right now and it's actually not as bad as I thought it would be.
I'll only drink tea if I have to.

pivot I was going to do the Whole 30, partly because my RE suggested that a gluten-free diet could improve my fertility and partly to help with IBS. But the day I was supposed to start, I got my BFP, so I never did it. Good luck! I'm doing OK over here but nowhere near as committed as you guys. In the past two weeks, I went to several yoga classes, my first-ever Pilates class, and did several long walks. I also ate at home more and did much better with cooking and meal planning. But I am still not making great food choices-- I haven't had a day without sweets in quite a while, and I've been enjoying my wine. I've gained and lost the same 2 pounds for a few weeks now. I wish I was returning to work at my previous weight but it's obviously not going to happen now.

1. How did last week go? Pretty well. I made it to the gym 2x (my goal was 3x) and I ate well, despite a girls night. I drank too much, but I made healthy appetizers. I'll share one recipe below. 2. Goals for this week? Make it to the gym 3x (yeah... sure) and continue healthy eating. 3. Food thoughts (recipes, grocery shopping, etc.) We're working toward a gluten-free diet, so I've been reading labels in our pantry. The good news is we already eat very little gluten, so I don't think it'll be too hard. I moved to a pretty raw diet a few years ago, so that helps. Here's a recipe I made this weekend: Lemony White-Bean Bruschetta. It's dairy and gluten-free, and it's a no-cook recipe. I skipped the bread and served it like a dip with raw veggies. So good! www.goodhousekeeping.com/food-recipes/a8004/lemon-white-bean-bruschetta-ghk/4. Questions/AW/Rants/Thoughts: I'm stalled on weight loss. I think I'm losing inches, but the scale isn't moving. FX it's just a short phase and I see some change because I'm working hard to lose lbs. 5. GTKY. I definitely drink coffee. Normally it's a medium-dark roast black. Sometimes I treat myself with a nonfat latte. I like tea, but it's not really my favorite.

1. I started Lindsay Brin's free 30-day post-natal video series. I was so sore after the first 3 days. But I feel like my tummy is already tighter, so that's a plus. I ate horribly though. My grandma gave me cookies. I ate a lot of them 😕
2. I need to do week 2 of the video challenge and find something healthier to snack on when I get the munchies.
3.
4. My tummy was happier after baby 1 much quicker...
5. I drink coffee with a tablespoon of cocoa and some coconut milk; I drink tea black, no sugar. If I'm at Starbucks I usually get a hazelnut latte.

1. Better than the week before, but still struggling to get to the gym on a regular basis. I did a few gym workouts and a few just at home.
2. Not sure I have any set. I work a lot this week. Not eat shit I guess.
3. We are bare bones here. DH needs to get groceries tomorrow.
4. My caffeine intake is embarrassing. I drank 4 cups yesterday from 10 am- 6 am while working over night. To make up for it I am trying not to have any since I woke up... I am tired.

1. How did last week go? DH started a lifestyle change I guess about 8 weeks ago, so we've both been doing it. Last week was good, introduced some new recipes into our rotation and that is making the lack of carbs better.
2. Goals for this week? Maybe get some more active time in, DH runs everyday, but between kids and work I haven't found time to do anything that is intentionally active.
3. Food thoughts (recipes, grocery shopping, etc.) We use greek yogurt in EVERYTHING to up the protein. However, I made some delicious chicken, seared then baked topped with soft goat cheese and sun dried tomatoes, accompanied by roasted brussel sprouts and carrots with purple onion. It was so good.
4. Questions/AW/Rants/Thoughts: DH has lost 30 pounds, I've lost 4. THAT'S SOME BULLSHIT, although, I do have less to lose so whatever.
5. GTKY. How do you drink your coffee? Or tea? Coffee is fine anyway. I'll drink it black or with some cream, cold or hot. I just love coffee.
