So I have some questions about baby's eye color.
DS1 has crazy blue eyes, they got lighter, but by about this age they were pretty much the color blue they are now.
DS2's eyes are still pretty dark and maybe beginning to look brownish...
Are your LO's eyes changing and if you have an older LO when did they start changing?

S's eyes have gotten more brown as time goes on. They started off gray, then hazel, now 90% brown. I'm expecting them to be 100% brown within the next year.

K had grey/blue eyes at birth. By this time they were grey with almost no blue. And she has brown eyes.
R's eyes were much lighter at birth and are still very much blue. I think she will end up having blue eyes. However; I think they can change for like 2 years before becoming their final color.

L's were dark blue when she was born. Then they went hazel and somewhat green. Now they are 100% brown and dark. They look almost just like mine, so I'm thinking they'll probably stay that way.

So E's eyes are still blue. Sometimes they look a tiny bit greenish to me in the center, but it's so funny because no one in either of our families has blue eyes.
I'm sure they'll turn hazel like DH and mine, but we'll see.
According to my pedi, any two people can have a baby with ANY color eye type except blue/blue. If a blue eyed couple has a brown eyed baby, that's not the baby daddy. Or so she says.

Guys in my line of work people are always asking me about genetics...and I know like nothing...(just bare minimum stuff). And I've literally been in extremely uncomfortable situations where they ask my input on things like paternity tests. It's not my favorite part of my job. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

They were very dark blue at birth, now they are lighter, but still blue as far as I can tell. I feel like they have been changing recently

DD1 had super blue eyes they stopped changing around a year an a half and now her eyes are green with a blue ring around them. DD2 and DS had grey almost black eyes at birth. They both turned to brown by like 2 months old.

DD1's eyes have stayed blue. DD2 still has blue eyes, but I kinda hope they turn green like mine! DH's eyes are blue, so they'll probably stay blue.

Both of my kids will have blue eyes because H and I have blue eyes. But DS's eyes lightened gradually. I want to say they were his current color by 6ish months. I'm excited to see what shade of blue DD's eyes end up being.
I looked this up when I was pregnant with F because I realized that H and his sister both have blue eyes but FIL and MIL both have brown eyes. It's about a 25% chance to have a blue eyed child when both parents have brown eyes (it's more complicated than that, but that's the basics), and I find it amazing that both kids ended up with blue eyes.

Genetics are fascinating to me. H just took a 23andMe test and I can't wait to get it back so I can analyze all of HIS DNA because half of it went to L. I'm such a nerd.

flyinghorses6 like... in the hospital, people are asking you for paternity tests? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Like they don't mention paternity but once the baby is born...there suddenly is discussion over it. I mean sometimes they just don't know and will be getting a paternity test and it's stated in the prenatal. Sometimes there's a few people in the room and I have no idea who is who. I tend to not care...but I've called the wrong man "dad" before. Whoops. I've also called an aunt (aka patients sister), "grandma". That did not go over well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

DD has pretty blue eyes now. DSs eyes looked like hers did at this age so I assume they'll be the same color.

I'm pretty fascinated by eye and hair color. I have dark hair and green eyes. DH has medium brown hair and hazel eyes. DS1 has platinum blonde hair and bright blue eyes. DS2 has dark hair and olive complection like me. So bizarre how it happens. Both DH and I have a red headed parent too.
