DS has had a hoarse voice since Sunday... we're going to the dr in a couple of hours. He's been spitting up a lot the past few days, I'm hoping it's just reflux and we can get some meds. He was up every 1.5-2 hrs the past 2 nights wanting to nurse or needed his pacifier so I think his throat hurts 😕.

txcatlady Poor guy! How did the pedi visit go? DS2 has been sleeping almost all day. Probably a growth spurt but I'm really hoping it doesn't mess with his sleep tonight! 😳

txcatlady I hope your LO is feeling better after a trip to the doctor. Today was the first time I ventured to grocery store with all three by myself. The boys were no The car cart and I wore DD. D kept telling me there wasn't enough room in the cart for all three of them. The trip was a success. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

lupincat pinkmickey24 thanks! The pedi said it was just side effects from the rotavirus vaccine that he got last week. Pedi said that DS should be getting better in a couple of days. DS had some Tylenol and is sleeping. Hoping he sleeps better tonight. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Got my IUD put in this morning. Didn't go in as easy this time as last time and now for the cramping and spotting for a month, if anything like last time. But it's worth it to not have a period after that (hopefully goes the same as last time). And I love the good for 5 years since we are likely done but don't like permanent options!

cubbiebear325, I kind of wish I had gotten an IUD instead of getting my tubes tied. Even though I know we should be done having kids (for financial and age reasons), the permanence of the tubal is really messing with my head. I have found myself getting very sad at times when I think about not even having the option of having more kids.

sleepymonkey logically speaking we are probably done with the 2 girls. Dh doesn't want to risk having 3 girls (haha). And in terms of paying for college/ weddings/ daycare, our ages, only having 2 bedrooms upstairs, etc we are probably done. Not that we couldn't afford it or have the girls share a room, but still. Neither of us like permanent options. I get sad thinking about not having another baby but we are busy enough with 2 and our jobs, etc. But on the flipside, I really didn't like being pregnant this past time and am more eager to get my body back this time (though won't likely happen until done by since my body likes to hold the weight) I can see where it would be hard with the tubal though. I would be the same way as you. Hugs mama

cubbiebear325 I heard there has been an uptick in women getting iud's who are concerned the current administration will gut paying for bc. You're all set!! Busting out and washing 3-6 mo clothes - she's growing like a weed!! I had a lot of very boy stuff for this age so kinda glad we've gotten a fair number of girly cute gifts. I have zero prob putting her in her brother's stuff except when it's like, a shirt that says "cool dude"... will prob not make her wear that...

I think we will be headed into 3-6 months soon, and 6-9 mo pajamas! Just went to 2 mo WCC today, he is 12lbs 7oz 23.25 inches! Their computer was broken so I will have to find somewhere to plug it in online for the percentiles.

irish14 sagen we moved to 3-6m/6m clothes almost 2 weeks ago around 6 weeks. It was definitely a little emotional putting up the 3m clothes. She will be 2m the 22nd and her WCC is 7/25. When I weigh her with me, she's upper 13lb already so I will be interested to see where she is at her appt. Also, today is my last day of leave....cue all the tears ðŸ˜

+1 to growing! Why do babies have to get so big?? I was just looking at some of DS's newborn stuff today with my mom 😢😢I can't even picture him that small anymore.
He still fits in some 0-3 month stuff depending on the brand, but I've definitely pulled some clothes from the 3+ month drawer.
DS struggled with naps a couple of days this week, but we're finishing up leap 2 so I'm chalking it up to that. He is, however, sleeping longer stretches at night. First stretch has been 5-6 hours followed by a 4-5 hour stretch. The big game changer? DH suggested switching sides on the bed so that he's closest to the bassinet. Now H soothes and just lets me know when it's time for a feed, and DS has been waking less. We now think that he could smell me and it was too stimulating. He could be knocked out, and I would go to bed early and H would immediately see him stirring on the monitor.

I was looking at photos from when DS2 came home- he was wearing a NB onesie that was falling off him (I had to go out and buy preemie onesies because he was all legs at birth). Now he's solely in 3m clothing ðŸ˜
It's even harder looking at DS1's baby photos because i can't really remember him being that tiny! It's hard to believe he's 2.5 now ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜

Add me to the growing too fast club. DS2 is wearing a 6 month onesie today and it fits perfectly.
What do you guys do with baby while s/he is awake? I'll put him on his play mat for a bit but he doesn't last all that long. He mostly wants to be held in a sitting up position which is hard to do for an hour+ with a toddler wanting my attention too. I wish he would just chill in his bouncer for a bit but yeah right.

I wish he would just chill in his bouncer for a bit but yeah right. So, I don't have a toddler, but I try to divide up the day into sections of awake time with different activities (he's usually awake for about an hour before he starts getting sleepy again). He won't spend more than 10-15 mins doing one thing, but between feeding him and changing his diaper, that gets us pretty close to the next nap transition. In the morning, I try to spend some time outside with him if the weather isn't too bad. Then I rotate him between a couple of playmats, the Mamaroo, or he'll sit on my lap while we read books. I've even thrown the Winnie the Pooh movie on because he seems to like the music. If he's extra clingy, I just wear him. Would babywearing be possible while you're taking care of your toddler? Poor B just can't catch a break. He has an ear infection and his eye is infected. This is just four days after we finished up his antibiotics for his mastitis. Also found out he has reflux. My heart is just breaking for him.
