I also have a thumb sucker! DH hates it bc his sister sucked her thumb until 8, so he pulls it out when he sees her, but she won't take a paci ( sagen We gag also like it's poison) and self soothes with it. It's only when she's tired. Had our 4m appointment this past Tuesday (@4.5m due to vacation) and dd2 was 18lb11oz and 28.5 in. Dd1 was 18lb2oz and 29in at 1 year. Dd2 is so huge! It's so strange to me and I'm pretty sure they will be weighing the same soon as dd1 is only 29lbs at >3.5y =). Do I still win for biggest baby 😉? We started oatmeal today. I was hesitant but she has been sitting in her high chair at dinner and watches us intently, eyes our food, and makes chewing motions with her mouth. She also has started sitting unassisted for brief periods of time this week! She liked to chew on the spoon, wasn't so sure about the food! cmb hope dc gets better after talking with the director! Also, so nice to see so many members this week! I know I'm MIA a lot as well, but miss the board being active

Question for those of you who got your period back. I'm trying to figure out if that's happening to me. I've had random spotting for a while, and since I had a polyp during pregnancy, I figured it might be related to that. A couple of weeks ago, I had a follow up with my OB, and he said it's gone. Usually the spotting just lasts a couple of days and then goes away. Well, this whole week, I've had enough spotting to need a liner. I would liken it to maybe a light flow day. However, I don't FEEL like I'm on my period. It's just there for a bit, lightens up to almost nothing, then comes back, etc. So, my question for those of you who have gotten your period back, was it like a slow progression, a light but super long period, or did the flood gates open with all the typical AF wrath? I had a similar experience a few months ago. Then last week, the flood gates opened and there was no mistaking it.

cubbiebear325 I think you may still be in the lead!!! I had the 9lbs 12oz-er but we were at 15 5 at the 4 month. 25.5 in though!! She put most of her effort this month into getting longer I have today off work. Hub doesn't and he took the kids to the nanny. I haven't had a totally free day in ages - I don't even know what to do with myself!!!

river Ugh that sucks. Well, it went away over the weekend, so I guess it was just my body being weird. I figured that once it does come back, it would be unmistakable.

H is home with J and having a heck of a time getting him to take the bottle. I went home for lunch and he nursed just fine. I thought he might be teething - he's been really going at it with Sophie - but I'm going to try new nipples for the bottle.

piratecat dd1 was around 14.5lb at 4m and they have both been nursed the same and were the same birth weight! It's just so crazy how differently they grow! Big or small, they are all so precious though!

I told him I wasn't ready so he hasn't pushed. Although we're in 9 and some 12 month clothes lol I have a huge kid.

Our house is on the market as of yesterday. It's been a ton of work getting it ready to sell. We also picked all of the options for our new house, since we're building a new house. New house should be done in march/April so we'll probably end up having to live with my dad and stepmom for a few weeks which could be interesting lol.
DS has had crappy night sleep for several weeks now. He slept decently last night so I really hope we're going to have some better nights.

We are trying to transition out of swaddles into the magic merlin sleepsuit and it is not going well at all. He is getting pretty good at falling asleep but we're not even getting the first 4+ hours and he's waking up every 1-2 hours. I was hoping it would be more magical........
On the bright side he has been napping really well (in the swing) the past few days and I'm hoping we can keep that up.
It's 30 degrees out today and I realized he has no warm clothes at all. Eek.

piratecat we're having a tough time with sleep lately too... he's up every 2 hrs it seems. I think ours is teething related but I need some sleep!
