My 6 week appointment went well. All restrictions are gone, but I must say i was sad to see I only lost 3 pounds since my 2 week appointment. So much for breastfeeding weightloss. Baby girls weight check showed she hasn't gained or lost weight since last week. Ladies I don't know how much longer I can stick with breastfeeding. We have another weight check next week.

O has suddenly in the last few days outgrown pretty much all of his Carter's 3 month sleepers. These growth spurts are no joke! Not quite the same, but we went from normal fitting NB stuff to high water pants seemingly overnight this week. We had our best day yet, I think! It made our rough morning earlier this week totally worth it! It started off well - after their 4 am bottle, they slept until 8:20 (minus a little fussing from Lucas). They had extended floor time with their furry sister, then headed into Philly and just walked around one of our favorite areas. This evening, my husband and I each wore one, and took a walk without the stroller.

DS seems to be at the end of leap 1 and another growth spurt! His 3month clothes are getting smaller. Hopefully the 6month clothes I ordered from carters get here quickly lol. sleepymonkey it seems like they grow overnight! I tried to use our k'tan carrier today and i did not like it it doesn't seem to fit right and it's hard getting DS in it. Not sure if it's because my chest is larger than the rest of me but I needed DHs help to get him settled in and it was not comfortable. I ordered a Tula free to grow carrier tonight. Hoping that one works better for us.

txcatlady, I have a really large chest and it took some work to get the k'tan to work for me. I ordered the recommended size but it felt like I was suffocating DS at first. I finally got it to be more comfortable but I still don't like it as much as I hoped. I don't think most carriers are made for those of us with large boobs. I'm still trying to get my Lillebaby just right so I can use that when we go out.

Oh, babies literally will grow in their sleep. First time it happened, I freaked, but now I'm used to it. I always have a few things in the next size on hand. DS2 was wearing NB one day and woke up the next where I couldn't snap them shut. DS1 grew out of a clothing size during a 4 hour nap once..

I have a bunch of 6 month stuff but I haven't washed them yet. I guess I'll be doing that this weekend just to be prepared. Some of his 3 month stuff is still fine but it really just depends on the brand.

txcatlady sleepymonkey I also have a k'tan. I feel like it's hit or miss. Maybe when DS can be carried in more ways than just the hug position, it will work better. DH has one too, and he always struggles with it...he has the Breeze with the more breathable fabric, and I think it's just too "slippery." I also ordered the Tula Free to Grow carrier and am waiting for it to arrive. I feel like no matter what, though, it's too damn hot for baby wearing right now 😕 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Tula FTG carrier for the win! We have one this time and I love. I loved my k'tan with dd1 but dd2 seems to prefer the tula. Use it almost daily! sleepymonkey I'm changing over clothes from 3m to 6m today too! My last baby is growing too fast....=( pinkmickey24 I didn't lose weight with dd1, in fact I held onto it while breastfeeding and have plateaued since my 2 week appt (I've been weighing myself at home). An LC explained that women breastfeed through famines so it's normal that some women hold onto weight, though some do lose weight. It made me feel better with that explanation and I was prepared to hold onto extra weight again this time too =/

+1 for the Tula FTG. DH has the ergo adapt, but DS2 doesn't seem to fit in it while having no issue with the smallest setting of the FTG. I love ring slings with my first.. it was all I used for the first year, but I find I'm preferring structured carriers this time arounded

I'm mostly using my ring sling and base woven wrap. I'd like to get an infant kinderpack, but that will have to wait until I'm back at work unless I decide to sell something I have now....I'm already thinking I'll overpack baby carriers for our beach trip in a week!
Also I'm team hold on to the weight when BF...I'm 7 lbs away from my PP weight for DD3, but that is still 20 lbs over my real PP weight with DD1...I was still BFing DD2 until I was about 20 weeks with this pregnancy...and no matter what I tried before getting pregnant I stayed within 3 lbs of the same weight.,.I'm hoping to work on healthier habits when I go back to work in a few weeks, but will try not to stress too much until a year...then I need to get it together because no more babies for us :-)

Reason my 3 yo was crying: she doesn't ever want her baby brother to get married because he will move out and she'll miss him. She was hysterical. H and I were so hard trying not to laugh.

J has been so fussy all night and finally settled down on my chest and I'm afraid to move him. And it's 9:15 and I haven't had dinner and I'm starving.

Seriously, when do the witching hours, or what we refer to as fussy butt time in our house, end? I cannot remember when dd1 ended hers. I'm thinking between 2-3m? Dd2 just has hers at a terrible time during dd1 bedtime routine. Dh gets frustrated and can't calm her. She only will calm for me, but I do most of dd1's bedtime routine. Every evening is so hard with her screaming. I don't want to rush time with our last baby, but man, I need them to end!

cubbiebear325 piratecat add me to the evening crazies, I hope yours get. Enter soon! I'm solo tonight so of course DD was hysterical during DS's bedtime routine time. I put her in the bassinet but my adorable DS asked me to go get the baby during his read books time bc she was screaming her head off. Still need a better 2 kid bedtime routine that involves less crying and takes under 2hr for both. DS was a needy sleeper (still is) so DD will probably turn out that way. Which is gonna make bedtime interesting. She also projectile spit up on me in bed... then got sleepy in her bassinet... hopefully nobody judges me for just avoiding the wet spot and changing it later, NOT waking her up for that!

Add me to the crazy evening camp. It seems like from 5 to 9 one of the boys is eating or crying. irish14 I have let the boys sleep without changing sheets before after spit up. No judgment here!
