We took DD to the movies for the first time yesterday to see Despicable Me 3. She made it through the whole movie but was definitely getting restless by halfway through. She loved going and says she loved the movie but I think it was more that she loved the popcorn and Reese's Pieces.
I have to go to the dentist today. Ugh. I hate going and haven't gone for a few year (not proud about that). I just started getting cold/sweet sensitivity in one of my molars so I can't put it off any longer. I also know I have some old fillings that need to be replaced. I have TMJ issues and always end up with a lot of pain for a few days in my jaw and head after the dentist. Kinda glad I still have some of the painkillers left from my c-section.

Today is my first day back at work 😠definitely not ready and hoping the day goes quickly. Luckily dh is staying home with K the 3 days I'm working this week so no daycare yet. K also must have know mama was leaving today bc she was up twice instead of her normal once. Second was at 445 and took an hour to get her back down so I'm super tired also.
I only work 4 days/week 8-5 (though I chart for 1-2h at night after kids in bed). Dh and I were discussing the possibility of me dropping to 3 days/week until girls are in school. I'm lucky to have that flexibility but need to talk to the docs to see what that would look like. I just feel like time is going too fast and I have the rest of my life to work, but only a few years with my kids being young....

cubbiebear325, good luck on your first day back to work. It definitely softens the blow a bit being able to leave her with your H instead of daycare. DS goes to my parents' house when I'm at work and I think that makes it a little easier to leave him.

This is our last week home before I go back to work. I want to squeeze in a bunch of fun stuff for the big girls but also just want to sit and snuggle DD3 all day. I always struggle with the same thoughts cubbiebear325Luckily I have good trust in our daycare, but with other kids I know the littlest won't get there same attention as she does at home

Good luck with work, cubbiebear325 and chknma! As of last week, I'm more than half done my leave and not looking forward to it, especially as they get more fun. We had lots of smiles and noises this morning. I hope the dentist isn't too painful for you, sleepymonkey. We had a busy few days, visiting friends and spending a lot of time outside. Today feels like a let down by comparison. Part of me wants to go to Target with them, but I also don't want to spend money, so...

Just got back from the dentist and it was much better than I expected. No cavities and my teeth looked great for it being 4+ years since my last visit. They couldn't find any reason for my teeth suddenly being sensitive but said it could be from my recurrent sinus issues and/or the fact that I clench and grind my teeth. I'm getting a custom bite guard to wear at night and need to use a sensitive toothpaste and hopefully those 2 things will help. And I'm not going to wait another 4 years before going back.

Have any of my fellow formula feeding moms gotten their period back yet? O is 11 weeks today and no sign of it yet. I thought I was getting it 3 weeks ago but it turned out to be just some cramping and a tiny bit of spotting. Since then I have spotted occasionally a few times but that's it. I know with DD, I had it back by 8 weeks so I'm surprised it is taking so long this time. I figure I'll call my ob if I hit 3 months PP with no sign.

The boys and I went to my work for a visit this morning. They actually slept 8 hours last night and then both went down for another 3. Fx this continues. sleepymonkey I grind my teeth at night and have a mouth guard. I find if I don't wear it for a few days my teeth become sensitive. So hopefully the guard fixes your problem. Our dentist sends out texts to my phone about appts and such. I'm getting weekly reminders that all 3 of us are due for our yearly checkup. cubbiebear325 I hope your first day back goes well.

I had it back at 7 weeks with DS1. The nurse at my MWs was shocked I didn't have it back by 8 weeks. I know it can still take a while even when formula feeding. I had a different nurse with DS1 tell me she formula fed her kid and didn't get it back until 9 months PP.

cmb, that makes me feel better. Although I guess it doesn't really matter for me since it's not like I'm planning on TTC again but I still don't want there to be anything wrong.

sleepymonkey it can take awhile for your body to get the memo. Just like some BF-ing moms have theirs come back right away, some formula moms don't get it back as quickly. It might be TMI, but are you still producing? I'm still leaking and can get about half an ounce out of my boobs at 12 weeks PP (I know because I just pumped it out because I got annoyed with the leaking)

sleepymonkey That Monday gif is so perfect for today. I'm trapped under a sleeping baby because he apparently will nap nowhere else today. DS1 is watching Sesame Street because I just need him to be quiet for a little bit, he's been such a bear the past two days. I wish I had something exciting and fun to add but I don't.
