tortor4 are you ebf?? If so, how do you fit in a power pump? That's my dilemma. 😫 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

rosesquared I'm EPing so that for sure makes it a little easier to power pump. Are you worried about not having any milk left for when she's hungry if you power pump? Would you be able to give her the pumped milk then or are you worried about giving her a bottle too early?

rosesquared oh also, my favorite time to power pump is my first pump of the day because I always get a ton of milk.

rosesquared I take 2 610mg capsules three times a day, so 1,830mg. It took a little over a week to notice a change. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk I take the same rosesquared. Although I admit sometimes I forget. Honestly I feel like I notice the biggest difference in supply after power pumping. I've been trying to do it at least once a day. I've also tried these drops called Let There Be Milk (FYI they taste reallllllly bad lol) and I drink at least one Gatorade a day on top of a ton of water. Why Gatorade? Does it help supply? tortor4 yeah I'm worried about having milk to feed her and I'd rather it be from me than a bottle but we've given a couple bottles. I've been letting her sleep one 5 hour stretch at night but last night I got up in the middle of that and pumped so I might try a power pump then. Not fun since I'm sacrificing sleep but she won't be affected. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If you power pump give her the milk for her next feeding if your comfortable giving her a bottle at this point. She has told me if DD won't eat off one side or she doesn't eat for the established time to pump that side and give the rest via bottle. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

And the hospital bill fun begins. I paid $3400 for an estimated bill while in the hospital for both me and O. On Monday, I received a bill for O's portion of the hospital stay and it was 2 cents off what I paid in the hospital. I just called them and apparently in the hospital they put us both under one account and now we're under 2 accounts. So they have to issue me a refund and I have to pay the new bill. Plus, they overestimated my portion so they owe me $1650. But my favorite part is that I have to call them to initiate the refund. So basically if I wasn't paying attention and just paid the bill I got for O, they would just keep my $1650 and take the additional $450 for O. So long story short, keep track of all your hospital bills and compare them against your EOBs from your insurance!

sleepymonkey oh man! I hate the 1 account to 2 accounts thing. I got some pretty hefty bills from ours last month- they separated our charges and never even billed the insurance. That was a pain to fix... Our current insurance fun is dealing with the fact that they're refusing to cover the charge of my panorama screen... claiming they didn't have prior authorization for it and no way to fix it 🙄 like I'm supposed to know that, what do I have to do, hawk on the doctor to make sure they submit the forms and then harp on the insurance company for MONTHS while they make a decision on a time sensitive matter?

cmb , no way to fix it? There's always a way, they just don't want to! I hate all the bills rolling in after having a baby. Just when you think you have paid everything, another one arrives. With DD, I received one bill 13 months after she was born. That one was quite the surprise. And you have to really keep track of everything because hospitals try to screw you (or maybe it's just mine.) I'm curious how the hospital is going to issue my refund. I paid for part of my bill on my FSA and part on my CC. The CC is now paid off and I really don't want to now have a credit on that card. I would prefer if they could just refund it all to my FSA and then I can use that for the other bills I'm getting and/or new glasses and some dental work I have been putting off.

Bills and insurance, man... so I met my ridiculously high deductible and MOOP for the first time ever. And of course this is the year my office decides to change insurance companies after having stuck with Aetna forever. So now my deductible resets to an even higher amount in August. UGH.

piratecat, that sucks. I have heard that deductibles and premiums are going to go up a lot in the next year so it sounds like you're getting the hit early. I am not looking forward to when our re-enrollment comes out at the end of the year.

sleepymonkey I paid my OBs estimated fee with my HSA and they are sending me a check for the refunded amount I have to fill out a form and mail a check to my HSA bank to get it back in there. Hope you can get your refund put back automatically but if not check the forms your FSA provides on the website. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

+1 to the bills and insurance BS. I keep procrastinating reconciling what I've paid out of pocket already vs. what they're billing me for. I just don't have the brain power, and I need to make sure someone can entertain DS while I mess with it. I can't rely on his nap lasting long enough to call. This is the kind of thing I would usually do during my lunch hour at work. I know I've hit my MOOP, so I'm confused about why I'm receiving bills...unless the hospital just didn't bother trying to file a claim.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I don't know if you know this, but once baby gets added, your MOOP becomes the family OOP max.. so while you may have met the individual, you may not have met the family one. At least, that's how my insurance works
