We're doing pretty well here. I think we're on week three of wanting to get them in their nursery but also too lazy to hang the black out shades. Not too lazy, I suppose, because we've had a ton of rain, which caused a retaining wall to fail and dirt flowed into our neighbors' shed. We also had water in our basement, so we've been trying to address those things before the next big rain (tomorrow). Babes are doing well. Three months yesterday, and they're happy, smiley, grabbing at things, and talking. I can't help but compare since I have two, but Lucas is developing faster physically, while Violet loves talking nonstop. I see why people say this stage is so fun. I'm still struggling to get them on a consistent daytime schedule, but since I go back to work in a few weeks and then husband takes over for two months, I may leave that up to him. Right now, I just do whatever they want... we were on a strict schedule as tiny babies and I've let that go in favor of trying to see if they'll show me a pattern. So far, they like changing things up on me every day.

DS2 will be 15 weeks tomorrow. I seriously don't know where the time has gone.
He has found his hands, and they're all he wants to chew on- I can only replace a pacifier so many times in a minute, and he's constantly pulling it out to chew on his hands. 🤦🏼♀️ He can roll onto his side from his back, so we're going to try out a zipadee zip tonight. I really don't want to break swaddling, but he keeps wanting his hands by his face and arms out swaddling is always a disaster. DS1 didn't even attempt to roll until 5ish months when I found he rolled to his tummy after walking away so this is all new territory

Oh no river that all sounds like no fun! cmb my giant 11 week old is also rolling to her side from back and has almost mastered rolling from tummy to back. I'm still swaddling just in an A&A swaddle blanket and she usually breaks her arms out. If I don't swaddle after her motn feed she will immediately wake up as soon as I put her down in the crib =/. Dd1 has a stomach bug and was vomiting most of the night. It's our first illness since dd2 and hoping it doesn't get us all but dh isn't feeling well this morning now =/

14 weeks here...DD3 also loving her hands...she gets distracted by them while nursing....she's becoming more tolerant of laying on her tummy and prefers to roll to her side from her back
DD1 recently started singing patty cake to her and she thinks it's so funny
We also need to transition to the crib....it's side cared so we'll Still be cosleeping, but then I wouldn't wake her up when I get up to pee or when one of the big kids wakes up at night..I think she'll do great, ice just been lazy about reattaching it to the bed

DS is 3 months old today! We're going on a short road trip to a resort on Wednesday while my dad is at a conference there. We'll come back on Saturday. I'm nervous about how DS will sleep, but I feel like H and I can handle it together. I'm excited, though, to see how DS reacts to the pool!
I also have less than one month of maternity leave left, and I have mixed feelings. I'm making a point of trying not to get frustrated with DS (mainly about bad sleep) in these last weeks. He's still learning how this sleep thing works, and I don't want to waste my energy on negative feelings when my solo time with him is limited.

gimmesugar, we're going to a pool party next weekend! Last night was the first bath session where no one cried, so they're getting used to water. I hope your LO loves it! Have fun! We went to baby yoga today and it was great! It's geared towards non-crawlers, so there was a little crying from all attendees and no one cared.

cmb Did you use the zipadee zip with DS1? I'm curious about it because daycare doesn't swaddle, but they'll let them use a sleep sack. So, I need to get DS weaned off the swaddle (at least for naps) in the next month.

DS1 never really tried to break out of the swaddle, and he didn't roll until closer to 5 months We send the sleep sack swaddles to daycare, but they won't swaddle him in a swing so they're kinda forcing DS2 to break it for naps since he will only nap in a swing.

Anyone having trouble with tapatalk? I can't access the boards with it.
Baby girl had another weight check today and she is 9 pounds even. We are adding cereal to her bottles starting tomorrow with her daytime feeds to add calories. She has one more weight check next Friday.
I've given up breastfeeding, but I'm still pumping. Overall stress and frustration has gone away with feedings. Now I know how much she's consuming at each feeding.

It's been a busy couple weeks but B will be 3 months on Friday. We found out about two weeks ago that he has a dairy sensitivity and that's what was making him cry non stop. I switched from EPing to soy formula and it's like he's a different baby. I'm so relieved he's feeling better and I'm glad to be done with pumping. He had a pretty rough first couple months so I'm really hoping everything is looking up for him.
C is still loving being a big sister. The way they look at each other completely melts my heart.

tortor4Our girls had MSPI....my big girls grew out of it by their 1st bdays and love dairy now! I don't even know if DD3 has it too but went ahead with keeping her dairy/soy free to make it easier on all of us!! glad you figured it out and B is feeling so much better!

Thanks chknma! I have my fingers crossed he grows out of it. I'm slightly annoyed with my pediatrician though. I asked for testing and she said they don't really recommend testing because most kids grow out of it. Which I understand but my OCD would really like to have something official on paper you know?

Things are going well here. Baby girl is so easy breezy compared to the toddler who is always keeping me on my toes. We had her 2 month check up last week and she's up to 12 lbs 5oz. She's refusing the bottle so we've been trying to work on that.

babystandish That sucks...does she take a pacifier? Which bottle brand(s) have you tried?
