I'm sorry for your loss, rosesquared. I'm glad you have the lactation support.

babystandish That sucks...does she take a pacifier? Which bottle brand(s) have you tried? Nope no pacifier either. We've tried tommy tippee, lanisoh mama, comotomo, avent, Medela, nuk natural, mam, and playtex ventair. I just ordered another one to try.

babystandish Oh wow! Yeah, we've had good luck with Avent Natural. I'd hate to say it, but my friend's daughter never took a pacifier or a bottle. You might have to introduce a sippy cup earlier than normal :/

Hi! I've been MIA the past few weeks, being back at work has been busier than I thought!
DS will be 14 weeks Friday and is growing so fast! He was 12lbs 5oz at his 2 month check up. DH is getting the hang of being a SAHD. DS isn't really on a daytime schedule, but he is sleeping better at night! He actually slept through the night earlier this week, but we're getting consistently about a 6 hr stretch at night and then he wakes up every couple of hours afterwards. We aren't swaddling at night anymore, just using sleep sacks and DS does fine with them when we put him down drowsy.
Still bf and pumping at work. I've been dealing with a drop in supply, and using 3-5 oz from my freezer stash daily, but I started lactation tea this week and my supply seems to be increasing today!
DH and I decided last weekend that we want to sell our house and move to something with a better layout 😬so that's been interesting. We're thinking that we're going to do new construction, but we have several small home repairs to make before we list our house.

Well, we made it to the resort. DS would NOT nap in the car, which is crazy to me. He would fall asleep but then would wake up 20-30 mins later. His car seat has a great shade on it that blocks out a lot of light, he had his pacifier, and I even turned white noise on the iPad. 🤷🏻♀️
He was a mess by the time we got everything unpacked in our room. He dozed for a bit on my mom, and then I nursed him to sleep. Poor kid was exhausted. Here's hoping tomorrow is better!

J is still sleeping terribly on his own, day or night, and I'm so tired. I don't know how I'll go back to work in 2 weeks like this.
I dreamt that I was breastfeeding a chicken, although unsuccessfully. I'm losing it.

DD3 was up a lot more last night then usual...she was also a little more fussy this morning when I dropped her off at D.C. So of course I have mom guilt over not being there to hold her all day
I am so so so tired, all day every day....which is crazy considering the baby is a pretty good sleeper
I worry because it makes me crabby and eager to get through the week...I don't want to be a grumpy mom and keep wishing my life away. I thought it would be better by our third week of me being back to work but I guess not. 😴

Postpartum dreams are much weirder...and anxiety producing at times. It's totally normal, though. www.nbcnews.com/id/20712275/ns/health-childrens_health/t/new-mothers-rattled-baby-nightmares/

chknma I know what you mean about wishing your life away. When I was pregnant, I feel like I wished it away due to FTM excitement and PGAL brain. I wish I would have just relaxed and enjoyed it more because, physically, I wasn't miserable. Now I find I'm wishing my maternity leave away because I'm always looking forward to my husband getting home from work to help or having him home on the weekends to help. I hope things get better and you're able to get some rest! H and I have fantasized about taking a day off from work while DS is in daycare and just napping all day lol

gimmesugar I do that sometimes - take the kid (now kids!) to the nanny and either "work from home" or take a day just so I can sit around at home. The wfh days where I don't really work do involve some productivity guilt (and mess with my billable hours) but I consider them an investment in my sanity. Also saving 2h of commuting for the day.

I totally send my kids to daycare even when I have the day off and they don't.. a perk of being a state employee using a private daycare

gimmesugar cmb I work for the state and my husband's federal so we get a lot of holidays off. Our daycare only closes 6 days. Yes, there will be days that they'll be there and we'll be having fun.

So we suspect Connor has a milk allergy. I've been trying to cut out milk but realized today some things I was eating had milk in them and didn't realize. Ugh.
He also rolled from his back to his stomach twice today. So no more swaddles for him 😣. Fx he still sleeps tonight.
Logan is still having crappy naps but from everything I've read, we're doing all we can and he just needs to mature more
