Anyone have a plan?
We are definitely starting at 4 months once the pedi gives us the ok. And I'm doing the oatmeal v the rice cereal.

I skipped cereal both times and went right into BLW when they showed signs of being ready (DD1 was 4m DD2 not until closer to 6m). I'll probably do that again.

Stop it. I just had my baby. She's almost ready for solids now?!?!? Why won't time freeze?

DS hated oatmeal cereal, so we then just waited and did BLW loosely. I'll probably skip the cereal this time, and just do BLW again. Mostly because I'm lazy.

We did BLW for DS1 and it worked really well for us so we are hoping to do it again. DS1 started around 5 months. We did start with cereal but it was a total waste. I like giving them puffs and yum yums just to get used to the idea

I'm praying the cereal will lead to STTN for us. I'm ready for the MOTN wake ups to be over. We are in the midst of a sleep regression so I'm not happy.

I did oatmeal last time starting at about 6 months. Not sure if I'll do it this time or just start with real food. The oatmeal and cereal just seem like nothing, it doesn't seem necessary. But we'll see what I decide in a few months.

We start with real food and BLW at 6 months, so a good 3.5 more months more here! DS1's first food was fajitas. I don't spoon feed, nor do I mush!

BLW is great. I recommend joining some Facebook groups to get ideas and learn what is normal regarding gagging vs. choking. The AAP doesn't recommend starting any solids until 6 months so that's what I do and we'll start with banana, avocado, and sweet potato.

We tried starting purees at 5 months with DD1 but she wasn't too interested for a few more weeks. Same with cereal and oatmeal. Once she stole some puffs from a friend at daycare there was no going back, though. ETA we started with sweet potatoes and bananas also.

We will do cereals at 4m, purees at 6, and finger foods when her pincer grip seems ready.
I already bought puffs because Aldi had some for a dollar, and they don't expire for a year. 😳

I skip cereals. I'll start with avocados like LO1 around 6 months/shows interest/tongue thrust reflex is gone.

I like the idea of BLW but it scares me. I already have a phobia of choking and it got so much worse when I had kids. Maybe I'll be a little more relaxed with DS since second child and all.
I'll probably skip cereal this time too and start with purées around 5-6 months.

Noob alert.
What is BLW? Is this like a BLT?
